Well, there was that one about the Beta format for videotapes... That was unfortunate, the top end Betas were still the best VCRs made at the time. My old Sony SL-2700 from 1983 is still more solidly built and has better features than the junk that's built today. OTOH: He was right about the onset and proliferation of DVD's. |
