Delano Thomas, Tony Ching, Jonathon Acosta, and Rafael Paal all hit the ball pretty damn hard.

In the men's game, I think everyone brings the heat. Honestly I can't distinguish one from the other because they are all so powerful whether from the back row or front row. But I have express my preference for Tony Ching during the NCAA finals this past year. Man that dude can hit line like no other.

I'd say there's a distinction between Costa, Pelzel, Acosta, Tuzinski, Thomas and Winters when comparing velocity to the average players. Ching is up there too.

I agree with Ching BUT ONLY WHEN HE'S ON. He's not always on. Like troll said, I think all men's DIV I players are equally powerful but that's only because my repertoire consists of tipping off the block. LOL!

Ptak,
Man he is a great player, but as far as heat he is not up there .... especially in the world... He skies as anybody in the world but his ball is flat and deep, not very hard....

I don't know if you guys have had the chance to see Nils Daubers from Pacific play, but he hits the s**t out of the ball. I haven't seen someone play in a while who makes the crowd gasp every few swings when he hits like Nils does. He doesn't jump that high, but he is 6'6" and HUGE, and gets on top of the ball. When he gets behind a ball, its like a freakin Mack truck.
Besides him, there are so many guys who hit the crap out of the ball right now. Someone is gonna get hurt soon.
I love it!!!! ;D

I have to agree with George Roumain as the hardest hitter. Maybe Tony Ching is right up there too, but I'm not sure about Costas Theocharidis. He is more of a smart hitter then a power hitter, but he can bring the power when needed, but I don't think is power compares to Tony Ching and George Roumain.

People that i would put on a list as the hardest hitters,
not in any order Big George, Clay Stanley, Dave Mekenzie, Pieter Olree, Brook Billings, Lewis Reivera, Chris Fash, Ivan Contras. Now thats a list of people who can bring the heat.

According to one of the papers, Costas is the hardest hitter on the UH team, though I don't think Delano was around at that time. As I recall, Yuval hit harder than Costas. As far as NCAA hitters go I think Billings was the hardest hitter. Too bad he couuldn't find the court. Everytime I saw him he seemed to launch every 4th ball into the stands.
