Congrats to Hawaii, BUT tomorrow will be another story. I predict UCI will win on Saturday...I didn't see the match but will attend tomorrow in my Hawaiian shirt. I have a score to settle with Bookumdanoaloha

Was the 3,235 in attendance any record for a UC Irvine volleyball match? Just wondering since Mens Volleyball doesn't have much "grand" attendances.

VBCrusin 3200 noisy fans at UCI. What a great atmosphere for Mens Collegiate Volleyball. Great fans (however, I didn't know they were serving beer until the end of the match). I'd offer you a beer, but I should know better than to offer a BYU fan a "Cold One". The Game was so good for Mens Volleyball, hope UCI has many more matches like tonite. I must say that playing in the Bren Center was like playing on a neutral court for the Ants. My son loved the crowd, he said they're noisier than the BYU fans at Smith Fieldhouse. Saturday's game is back in the Matchbox-Crawford Hall. Playing in Crawford Hall is at least a 3 point advantage for the Ants. Hawaii will have to play even better saturday to beat the Ants. Jimmy Pelzel carried UCI on this shoulder. My son said Jimmy "Is Money". VB get there early or you won't get in. Bring your Hawaiian shirt to game and I'll pass you off as a Kanaka, and you can sit with the Hawaii fans. If you're up to it, we can also have couple of "Cold Ones". Bookumdanoaloha

Biggest crowd, by far, ever for a UCI Men's VB match!

Hey Bookum, I was at the Pep game last night, so I couldn't attend the UCI-UH match on Friday. I WILL get there real early tonight for Saturday's match...with my Hawaiian shirt (Incidentally, I usually wear a Hawaiian shirt everywhere I go; it's a Californian thing ). I will be honored to sit with your loyal Hawaii fans to see this great match. As far as a "cool one," if that includes "cold water" I'm there! I'm a little surprised that they would serve beer at a volleyball match...I guess I'm a little naive. I relate beer with baseball and hockey. Hope to see you there...save me a seat. We'll cheer your son together. Aloha.

I think the game is sold out for tonight. maybe ticket scalpers will be busy tonight , after 3000 + fans last night only 900 will get in tonight . Maybe Speraw will learn when OC people have a good team and they are playing good teams they should schedule games in the Bren center. I nt was fun at the Bren center last night

I think there's a conflict with a basketball game, that's why they can't play in the bren center again. At the very least, they're going to turn away around 500 people tonight. I bet it's full an hour before the game.
And last night's game was a UCI attendance record, at least I can't remember ever having a game close to that. Previous high I believe was about 1400.
