Cuba denies her entry so she is headed back to Beijing... Did Cuba really? I was kinda wondering if they'd let her back in. Actually, I was wondering if they would let her leave (go back to China)! I could be wrong, but I didn't think defectors could come and go and Cuba. I wonder what they would do to some ordinary guy, not an athlete. Would they let them come back to visit a sick relative and then return to the US, Italy, etc?

Can you fly nonstop from Beijing to Havana? Do Chinese tourists frequent Cuba for vacation?

Could we not forget that she has a seriously ill parent? Sheesh. And that's kinda the sad part --- she won't be able to see her mother.

Italy takes out Russia without Aguero in the opening game. 3-1 win for Italy

What the Cubans should have done is let her in and then not allow her to get out!! Hey, let's behave now. It's a difficult time for anyone to have a loved one sick and I can only imagine what a jumble of emotions she and her family must be going through.

Apparently now Cuba gives the green light for Aguero to travel there, but if I understand the italian sites correctly, this's come too late

Italy beat Russia in 4. I guess I am a little shocked, without Aguero.
