These greedy bastards allocate 5 minutes of ads for every 10 minutes of Olympic coverage. That being said, I have been sick of the following commercials:
1) Exxon Mobil. We get it, you are saving the world with math and science. 2) GEICO GEICO GEICO. The caveman and lizard w/ british accent are annoying as hell.

MCDONALDS!!!! I absolutely CAN'T STAND the fake olympic dream for "the perfect chicken sandwich" or the fake dedication and waking up early to get "chicken for breakfast." It irritates the crap out of me, not to mention they play one every commercial break.

Haha, the McDonald's commercial grew out on me! I actually would like to try the "fluffy" chicken w/ biscuit in the morning

NBC keeps interrupting the online coverage with the same 3 or 4 GE spots. That dorky guy is getting REALLY annoying!

That Subway Scrabble commercial is the dumbest.

Oh yeah those GE commercials on NBC livestream are way, way overstated. Yes, I'm sure that you're producing recycled water and powering electricity at the Olympics in China.

Is this Access Hollywood segment on the two female gymnasts the most nauseating piece of schmaltz ever?

Best commercial music is the GM ad with Brandi Carlile's "The Story". Grey's Anatomy fans might recognize her music, she's been featured many times. Brandi is awesome, she knows how to entertain the crowd. I went to her concert in Seattle last year, I wish I could've gone to the one last weekend. Lots of short-haired women in flannel shirts at her concerts.

I went snowmobiling with her brother, back when her mom was telling people she was going to be a big star and have a recording contract. (Her mom worked at the espresso stand that my dad frequented.) I certainly assumed that would not work out. Not the first time I've been wrong.

The commercia isn't so much important, but the United Airlines commercials use the "Rhapsody in Blue" music, which is some of my favorite.

I love those commercials just because of the Gershwin feature. It makes up for all the other horrible ones.

An interesting fact from Wikipedia: United's theme song is George Gershwin's 1924 "Rhapsody in Blue", which it licensed from Gershwin's estate for $500,000 in 1976. "Rhapsody" would have entered the public domain in 2000, but the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998 extended its copyright another 20 years.

I, too, am tired of the GEICO stuff. And I have a couple GEICO policies.
Another one that I now mute is the Nationwide Insurance (I think) one with the old lady bashing the kid who ran into her car & is trying to apologize with her handbag.
