Why are the women allowed to wear jewelry while playing? I thought that it was against the rules.

Why are the women allowed to wear jewelry while playing? I thought that it was against the rules. Against the rules in USA. I think it has something to do with the fact that if Sally tears her ear off because her earring got caught in the net, a US jury would probably award her $3 million because the organizers put a net near where Sally and her earring were about to play ball. Most other places, justice would say "Sorry your ear is going to look like that... You want something for your pain and suffering? Here's a piece of advice: If you get a job in a factory, be more careful with your wardrobe!"

In the US, the ref, coach, facility owner, tournament organizer, janitor and anyone else involved would be deemed negligent for the accident.

I was also wondering if trading pins this Olympics was big - I didn't see anything about it this year. I thought I heard that Walsh gave that guy who found her ring a whole mess of pins. That was the only time I heard any reference to trading pins, but I expect it was going on.

Not only was there pin trading going on - in the village there was a pin trading center - but pins were valuable when bargaining with the merchants around town

The USA women gave Joanie Powell, their head of delegation, a framed set of pins that they had put together to write out "2008" to thank her for her job well done. It was in her blog.

Had a BALL, often went to many events in one day. Saw a lot of the city. Bear with me as I am about to put my photo site up for all to view. Had a few thousand pix to go through - lol - the world of digital photography - upside you can take a lot of pictures the downside you have to pick what you really want to keep out of the morass.
