There was a miscommunication somewhere along the line between the Big Ten Conference and the Big Ten Network. Therefore, the women's volleyball match between Penn State and Minnesota in Minneapolis on Saturday, Oct. 11 (tomorrow) will be played at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET like scheduled but will air on the BTN on a one-hour delay at 7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET. Better late than never. Now that broadcast will be going up directly against the PSU-Wisconsin football game. I'll be flipping channels a lot.

Why don't they play at 8pm and air it at 7pm? Doesn't TIVO do this?

Welcome to VT "Shanem2005"... Now, do you have a point that you're trying to make? You don't think PSU will win the championship and it really pisses you off that your beloved Cardinals are not considered the best. Ok I get it. You're getting mad at "Dorothymantooth" because she's calling you out. You want to ignore that fact that Stanford lost to St. Louis but use the fact that PSU was undefeated in 98 (when most of the current players were 10 or 11 years old) and didn't win the national championship... So what? Totally different players. You're argument that PSU hasn't played any great teams doesn't hold water either. Both Hawaii and UCLA are pretty good teams. What's impressive to me is even against lesser teams, PSU has played at a high level with no let downs. They are consistantly good. And even if they don't have the toughest schedule in the country, don't you think they go at each other in practise everyday? Actually I'm not mad at anyone, but thanks for your concern. I could care less if anyone considers the CARDINAL the best. I'll let post-season talk for itself. As for the teams you mentioned, UCLA is decent at best right now and they beat Hawaii. UCLA lost to USC. Enough said. I think PSU is a good team, but they're going to be beaten at some point. Last year UCLA lost to OSU and Hawaii.....but in the end they ended up pushing Stanford in the regional finals.......I'm just sayin

Defensiveness? This is a message board. People share there thoughts about a topic. You share that PSU may not be that dominant. I wouldn't call that defensive, I would call it responding to your thought with my thoughts. Also, a response to "please be accurate with your information" with "you misspelled a word" is not snarkiness, it's nonsensical. It's not a response.

I think UCLA is a great team actually, they just tend to peak later in the season. Spicer is one, if not the best, setters in the country right now.

This kinda upsets me. The match, as far as I know, was set to begin at 6:00 to accommodate the BTN. Then they don't start their telecast until 7:00. I have a high school tournament I want to attend and I won't be able to see its completion as I will need to leave early. I know, I should be happy that the match will be on TV but if they are going to have the match start earlier than normal they should start their telecast at the same time. Very confusing to those to follow volleyball on the perimeter as well. The local papers have to give two start times: 6:00 is when the match starts. 7:00 is when the "live" (really, that is what it says on the BTN website - live) telecast starts. Huh?

As if that confusion isn't enough, the Gophers' Gold Zone lists three different start times for TONIGHT'S match -- 6, 6:50 and 7 (which is right, I believe). The Gold Zone? Not my favorite.

Minnesota not the only team playing great defense. After 4 Big Ten matches check out these numbers. Pretty fair comparison as both played Illinois and Purdue.
PSU's opponents have hit .000, .207, .125, and ,011
Mn's . opponents 046, .153, .112, and .181

I noticed that Roberta Holeouse, the libero, is back from her sprained ankle. I hope Minnesota brings their "A" game tonight and makes this a great match. I know the Niattany Lions are ready to rumble. Who will have the best teamwork?
