I think what makes it so funny is that the coach did it and his attitude lol. What a shame, Long Beach fans are the most respectable...

I think it's great. I think alittle less Aloha to the visiting team and their fans, is always an advantage for the home team. I know the players will love it. I've been to several games on the Mainland when Hawaii plays and their fans are both great and brutal. And I mean brutal. I always thought playing at the Stan Sheriff was almost like playing on a neutral court. Now I hope the UH will allow that section behind the visiting team's bench, be open to JUST STUDENTS. Mandatory requirement: noisy, loud and drunk would be my recommendation. Knowing the UH they'll sell tickets for that section to the Mama-san and Papa-san fans. Hey coach Wilton, bring back the Band and put them in that section.
Beach fans you can cheer all you want in the "nose bleed section".
Should be a good match. Passing is key. Munoz is a key player and his passing is important. Middles will determine the match, because both team's middles have been inconsistent. Both teams must be ready to play, and neither has shown that they can do it on a consistant basis. A little disadvantage is that Beach know they were swepted last time they played.

This is very interesting and very funny. Hawaii has been very gracious to opposing fans by giving them very good seats. I have always liked seeing the opposing teams in the lower area and I really don't think it has been that much of a disadvantage to have 30 opposing fans yelling when there are 2000+ fans in the arena.
But Hawaii also has the luxury of playing in a huge arena with a decent number of fans coming out to watch the matches. Putting opposing fans far away from the action doesn't hurt the Hawaii team in any way.

I think that it is kind of amazing that there are only 30 tickets being sold to the Long Beach fans........ :(That sucks!

He's still the head coach at Hawai'i nonetheless...

A little disadvantage is that Beach know they were swepted last time they played. Bookumdanoaloha This is irrelevant, Long Beach State is coming off of a 3-1 win over no. 1 UCLA and they have beaten Hawaii 3-0 before also. Don't give Long Beach fans good tickets... it won't matter, I know Long Beach is gonna come out on fire and crush balls

This is a great move by Wilton. Those visiting fans do not deserve those privileged seats. Let them yell from the balconies, where their voices will be muffled. Hawai'i will move on in the MPSF tourney. Long Beach goes home, losers.

Actually, the 30 tickets are complimentary. The visiting fans can buy all the tickets they want. They just get 30 for free. I think that it is kind of amazing that there are only 30 tickets being sold to the Long Beach fans........ :(That sucks!

that made the coach look like a baby it did. too bad. this from a coach who has fought hard with the admin to get more and better seating for students... perhaps to do exactly what he fears Long Beach fans would do. and i don't think he sees the irony... oh well, go bows ... !!
