When Paul McCartney was asked once if he "was on a deserted island and could have only a recording of one song with him, what would it be?" His answer, "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon. Myself, I could listen to The Beatles 24/7 and never get tired of them. My favorite (well today, anyway) is "No Reply" but for some reason the radio stations rarely play it.

Let It Be was my first exposure to western rock music. we had just moved to central America from Asia when that movie came out. To this day, my vision tends to get sepia toned and I get a heavy dose of sentimentality when I hear Let It Be.

Yesterday was the annual Bug Bowl at Purdue. Among the activities include the cricket spitting contest (for distance), and a whole host of insects that you can eat. The fried meal worms are a staple, and I saw some brownies this year, presumably with crickets in them. In the past they have had chocolate chirpie cookies, but I didn't see them this year.
I didn't see any food containing beatles, though.

Did you know that John Lennon wrote that song after attending the Indianapolis 500...(watching the wheels go 'round and 'round)?

Saves all that wrist bending effort and adds crunch and protein to the meal.

The Beatles songs I like tend to be the non-hits, the ones hardly played on the air, or the ones people hardly know much about. For example, I like "I'm So Tired" and "Polythene Pam" and "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" and "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" I hate the hits. Every time I hear "Let it Be" or "Hey Jude", I go into a rage and start breaking brick walls and stuff.
