I saw the antic that everyone is talking about and I have a different impression. I don't especially like Costa's antics.....most seem rather awkward. Here is my take on the single antic that is being discussed. He put his hands on his upper outer hips.....the outer top of his butt if you will. He then wiggled or rocked from side to side. I certainly didn't see any pelvic thrust and I was sitting in row 4. Once again, it didn't quite work just like his crazy arm motions don't quite work. As athletic as he is, you can imagine him being a total nerd on the dance floor. I think he's just releasing emotion, having fun, and trying to rally his team and the crowd. Too bad he's just not a little bit more graceful.

I guess you have not met or seen Antoinette White or Keba Phipps. Check them out but you better hurry they are getting to be older players. You missed their prime.

okay, after watching tonight's loyola-hawaii game, i realized something.
there's a HUGE difference between celebrating and being an *ss. it's one thing to do a dance (badly in costas' case), jump around or point at the camera. it's a completely different thing to grab your crotch or wave the bird. i haven't read this thread in a while, but i just wanted to say that celebration is a great way to pump up the team. but i'm positive that doing lewd or crude things can also bring the team down.
and was miladinovic really that bad? i just thought he was celebrating hard. if he did anything lewd, someone tell me?

Miladinovic? Sweetie...he was "trash-talking" all the time, which was amusing...BUT when he ran over to the Pep fans and gave them the finger after the Championship Final win, that was just "classless." I cornered Dejan after the match (to congratulate the UH team) to see WHY he would do such a thing, but surprisingly, he apologized to me and the growup Pep fans and stated that his guesture was "for the few young Pep fans who were riding him the whole match." My take is that no one should display that type of behavior...no matter what. Dejan was just a over-grown boy (immature at times) who let his celebrating emotions overshadow his common sense. Personally, I enjoy the antics, provided it is done in an entertaining, good taste. Let the games begin.
