From the Cal VB Twitter page: twitter.com/CalVolleyballThey were originally scheduled for a tournament at Pacific this Saturday. I'm not sure what happened with those plans. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. edit: Modified the title again to reflect current circumstances.

Well - apparently it's been cancelled. I figured out it wasn't happening when I got home and found that Cal is hosting the WNIT (women's basketball) championship game on Saturday. So reports are that Cal will be running a faster paced offense this year with Sam Crosson running practices. For the past 5 seasons, Cal has been heavily reliant on a strong leftside attack, which worked when they had two experienced players (Pressey, Cutura, or Murrey) at the position. It sounds like they're going for a more balanced attack this year rather than just the power attack from the last few seasons.

Might be a factor in win/loss record. I wasn't there, but they were updating the Twitter feed with photos. twitpic.com/1emyewI count 10 players at Sac, and Hana didn't appear to be there. However - I saw some photos of their spring practice, and they were shorthanded. Hana (as well as Kristen Kathan) were playing in scrimmages a week ago. I don't think they have enough personnel for a 6 on 6 otherwise unless the coaches play. In think 10 is probably enough for them to play outside competition. twitpic.com/1co7zh
