word on the street is BYU has hired, and its a younger version of a former successful coach there. When speaking with Interim head Neilson, I alluded to the fact that the VB programs at BYU are now Gold Medal Squared on both sides.

Park hired Mike Talamentes. parkathletics.com/news/cat_index_53.shtmlMight be an okay hire for the women, but this is a questionable move for the men's side. Does anyone know what he was under investigation for at Occidental?

Does not seem likely as the AD has made both positions PT. Coffing was announced on the Women's side. I would suggest to anyone in the area that could survive on what they are paying (around 15K), call the Director of Athletics.

Alderson-Broaddus Anyone know the story regarding AB? They posted the job a day or so ago. Knowledge of NCFV rules? As in club volleyball? A school of 600 with the idea that adding a "men's volleyball team" would help admissions sounds about right.

Unless your school has a club benefactor like Arizona did, then having a men's team will only draw a few players. Most guys who want to play club are looking at what the school offers in terms of majors and how high the school is ranked among colleges, not just whether or not the school has a men's club team. For NCVF, look at their website for eligibility rules: ncvfvolleyball.org/default.aspxI believe that any undergraduate playing must be a 3/4 full-time (9 hrs) student and graduate students enrolled in 6 hrs of classes.

Chris has no coaching experience, other than camps, right? Wonder how his dad feels about it? He didn't leave BYU on the best of terms.

Endicott will be looking for a new coach at the end of this season. They have told the players and recruits that they will be splitting the position and Coach Byram will be staying with the women's team and picking up other administrative duties. The men's position will be full time and combined with assistant sports information.
