you folks are getting out of hand now. How do you know Cook hasnt apologized to the appropriate people? Im fairly certain he doesnt owe an apology to volleytalk, or a newspaper. I think there is a difference between disliking someone, and wanting to dislike someone, and or looking for any reason to dislike someone. Certainly there are many here who do indeed fit that discription. Without a doubt Cook should sign on today and apologize to the VT world.

Nice match."

Why? Because he's STILL WHINING. Could you define "still"? What timeline are you using? To me still would mean today, this afternoon... Im assuming given the all caps (again) you are trying to emphasis the currentness of the whining? They also would not be the only ones at this juncture who are STILL whining, if were being honest. +

I recall when Greichaly Cepero was in the news for an issue with a football player. Cook forced her to apologize in a press-conference. Tears ensued, and she apologized for her actions. Why isn't Cook apologizing for his actions which were far less common than underage drinking among college kids? Apologize for saying he thought the ball was in? LOL If it was a rule that we all should apologize for every inappropriate thing we said......volleytalk posters would be apologizing the rest of their lives. There is far more nasty and idiotic things said by ," volleyball experts," on volleytalk than any coach living.

is it true that's all cook said "that ball was out?" another poster said they had someone close to the situation and reported that it was in fact "that ball was !!!!###$$$!!!ing out"
now, i don't know who to believe, but it appears that most of this board will give cook the benefit of the doubt and believe his own recollection of what he said. could it be that he might leave a word or two out to make himself the innocent party against jmac's zealous reaction?
i find it curious that so many folks assume that all cook said was "that ball was out".

what i took away from that description was beyond an F bomb... if he really slapped his hand away, as described by others, then that could very well be the straw that broke the dawgs back...

UW AD Scott Woodward wasn't at the match Friday, he was all the way in NYC but had a word with Jim that night as soon as he heard about it.

The legendary coach John Wooden had only three rules for his team. 1) no profanity 2) never criticize a teammate 3) never be late

Is this a new transliteration of the prophetic nations of Gog and Magog, or is it a new hard-boiled detective comic drama on ABC?
