So now there will be, assuming best scenario, only a conference match schedule.
According to previous notices I received, yesterday was the last day to renew season tickets for the same seats. The blurb and personal phone call I received yesterday kinda sorta said/implied it was the only way to guarantee same seats for 2021. While the order form had the boilerplate no refunds language, there was a footnote to the effect that if distancing rules, etc.,applied,"options to resolve all Membership renewal expenditures will be provided, including the ability to request a refund." With that in mind and given that I make year end donations to Cardinal Club/SUWVB anyway, renewing was a no-brainer for me. Realistically, I see close to 0% that I will attend any matches this year.
What did you other SUWVB season ticket holders do?

I’m automatic re up. So that happened a month ago. I too probably can’t go but it’s a long time before we have to decide about going or not. Plus I have Football tickets. With parking that’s $400plus more.
I will be very happy to watch on tv

I renewed 2 of my 4 season tickets. Normally we invite friends to join us but not this year.

I renewed my two seats, but don't have much hope of watching in person.

SUWVB update:
Dear P
We hope this note finds you and yours safe and well, despite the many challenges our community, our country and our world currently face.
Following Friday afternoon's Pac-12 update that the fall season for several Pac-12 sports, including women’s volleyball, would include Conference matches only, we are writing today to you, a loyal women's volleyball Season Ticket Member, with an update about our preparations for the 2020-21 academic year and the rapidly-approaching season.
While the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, President Marc Tessier-Levine and Provost Persis Drell recently provided an update on plans for the 2020-21 academic year. Although there are still many important details to finalize before fall quarter, Stanford Athletics continues to work closely with the President, Provost and other university leaders to determine how changes to Stanford’s residential life may impact student-athletes. With the support of the university and the county, we hope to welcome all of our fall teams back to campus as soon and as safely as possible.
Similarly, we truly hope we are able to welcome all of our loyal supporters, especially our Season Ticket Members, to Maples Pavilion this fall. However, in light of the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, including reports of accelerating infection rates across much of the country, we must prepare for many different possibilities. In all scenarios, the health and safety of our student-athletes, fans, staff and community will be our top priority.
Two of the potential scenarios we are preparing for would be greatly disappointing for all of us: a significantly reduced venue capacity and matches played without any fans in attendance. Should either of these scenarios become a reality, we will be in touch with further details.
We want to assure you that should the season not progress as planned, we will provide a number of options with respect to your renewed Season Ticket Membership. In the event you do not have an opportunity to attend any matches this season, or decide not to due to COVID-19, a full refund of your Season Ticket Membership will be included among those options, as will converting some or all of your expenditure to a tax-deductible Buck/Cardinal Club gift.
Your dedicated Stanford Athletics ticket contact, R.P. Kirtland, will be in touch via email when there is new information to share.
Thank you again, and go Cardinal!

An interesting story elsewhere that Pac 12 sports might start end of September

Can’t help but I went over to youtube and watched a few Stanford matches in the past.
That regional match of Stanford vs Penn State back in 2013 is still giving me a lot of heartache. Probably my 5th time to rewatch it.
That team of Wopat, Williams, Ajanaku, Burgess, Howard, Bugg and Gilbert is probably one of my most favourite starting line ups ever at Stanford. They were athletic and fun. And they looked like the nicest girls out there. They were poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
Can’t forget that play when Katie Slow I mean Slay (Cant help sorry) blocked Inky in a play and the next play Inky had an emphatic kill and there she was with a stare down.
It gives me a sense of closure though that we eliminated PSU the past couple of regional finals en route to within back to back Nattys.

They beat us many times during their run of success. Every time we played PSU, I have an uneasy feeling. But hopefully, this is a new streak for Hambly to be undefeated vs. PSU RR when he is at Stanford.
