I've been thinking the same.. Well now, it is Stanford Admissions, after all (and... her life, after all is said and done)! Someone mentioned before, she is still choosing between 3 schools, as if it isn't admissions.

My comment was partly tongue-in-cheek; partly that the poster you referenced is not necessarily a be-all/end-all of surety; and part who knows anything (no one)?

True, we’re not privy to the exact timeline of Stanford admissions, but I do find it a bit worrying since Miner committed almost a month ago. Although, of course choosing a college is a big decision so not sure if it’s a concern of admissions or not.

At this point, I wouldn't be worried because until she announces, nothing is guaranteed. The fact that she hasn't announced is always a good sign.

Yes, as far as I know there is no requirement a recruited athlete submit their application the second semester of their junior year. However most athletes want to get a decision ASAP so they can make alternative plans in the event they are not accepted.
I have no idea what is going on. She may be very confident of getting admitted but that wouldn't be a reason to not spend some time to fill out the application. This is the one year where Stanford doesn't require test scores so she doesn't even half to worry about that.

Sooo... should we be worried about Francis not committing yet? FWIW I am. What makes it more uncertain, if I am correct, the dead period for recruiting has been extended until the end of August. If that is true (not sure) doesn't it mean September until coaches can call and talk to her. This might end up taking a long time.

Dead Period means no on-campus visits arranged by the program and no off-campus recruiting evaluations.

stanfordvb, I want to hear from you the insights about 1) Julia Blyashov, 2) Grayce Olson, 3) Jordyn Harvey, 4) Maggie Mendelson, and 5) Laney Choboy How likely is it that we see all of these girls in Stanford uniforms? Sounds as if we have very good chances with Blyashov, Olsen and Choboy.

I can say with a good degree of confidence that Choboy has Stanford in her top 5 along with Nebraska, Minnesota, Texas, and either Florida, Kentucky, or Texas A&M. This was the talk at least at HP Championships last year. Now this was a year ago and since the Youth National Team is on hold there's no way I can confirm this is still the case.

She’s the closest thing to hentz in the next 4 recruiting classes. Is arguably better than everyone in the grade above her as of right now, miles ahead of her own age
