I believe we have a great shot at Rubin. Well she’s not committed elsewhere

All the best to Stanford. I've enjoyed watching the Stanford teams over the years.

Question to Stanford fans. Where do y’all think you should be ranked?

Question to Stanford fans. Where do y’all think you should be ranked? I don’t think it’s unfair to be ranked where they are rn, defending national champions are always going to be ranked highly the next season regardless of who graduated. If I had to rank teams rn based just off who I think should be the best teams next year, I’d have Stanford probably so where around the 5-8 spot. I’d put Wisco, Texas, UK, and Nebraska ahead of Stanford for sure, maybe 1 or 2 other teams if I had the energy to think hard enough

Thanksss

Question to Stanford fans. Where do y’all think you should be ranked? Are we ranking where we think they'll be at the end of the season or out of the gate?
I think Stanford is hard to rank bc they're young and covid creates more uncertainties and makes it harder to practice.
COVID: 1. We don't know where they'll practice or play. Have they started practice yet? Last I heard, they start later this week. Esp with such a young team, that's going to make a rough start likely. If they have to move around like the BB teams have, it will probably make that worse (tho it may help w bonding which could be a plus if they find a home and get a chance to focus on VB).
2. A young team makes it harder if key players are out. Lack of depth in key positions (primarily setter) adds to that too. It probably helps that the sophomores spent last season playing against Plummer, Hentz, Gray, Gates & Fitzmorris and got to work with Xu.
I probably would have ranked them around 5 or 6 but I think they'll be lower than that out of the gate. I think they have a really high ceiling, tho, and won't be surprised if they end up in the Final Four. A lot depends on if/when they find a home and if/who is out w COVID or injuries.

Is McClure a lock as a 6 rotation player this spring season? 2 of the 3 starting pins from last year graduated, and there are no real incoming freshman/transfer pins to replace them (aside from moving a Smith to the RS). So they will be replaced by people who were on the bench last year.
Pretty sure Stanford didn't have 3 different pins sitting on the bench last year who are now ALL better than a 6-ro starter from the last two NCAA Championship teams. People keep looking to phase McClure out, but McClure keeps being really really difficult to take off the court.

He wasn't trying to push her out. He was asking for Fantasy.

He wasn't trying to push her out. He was asking for Fantasy. I can definitely see how my post could look that way, I should have explained. This is completely right though, I picked her in fantasy right after asking. I'm a big fan.
