It looks like Lougeay and Leilah Smith are practicing, at least part of the time. I think that's Lougeay peppering at around 0:54 and practicing at around 1:20. I think that's Smith at around 1:12, 1:29, and 1:35. That doesn't mean they'll be available to play but it's promising.

It looks like everyone is healthy from what I'm seeing. Including Fidelak and Xu which we love to see. Might be the first time all season where everyone is healthy...

The current lineup has been clicking, but that could be more about the quality of their opponents.

Didn't Leilah Smith play one set against Arizona in early October, then didn't play again for the rest of the season? I really hope they're all ready to play but we don't even know if they were in most/all of the practice or just for a short time.

Could be the quality of opponents like you said. Or it could be the right line up. Kipp in the backrow IMO is more valuable to the team than it is a hinderance. Lougeay's serve and ball control is helpful too though. Could it be just as simple as Berty out - Lougeay in? And all is fixed? Idk.

I really hope they're all ready to play but we don't even know if they were in most/all of the practice or just for a short time. Yes she did come in for part of a set when we had a huge lead. I was happy to see her enter, but wow, she looked lost. She was clearly not ready to contribute. And we haven't seen her since. The injured players (not sure about Xu) seem to be at a point where they are healthy enough to be a warm body on the court. I'm skeptical that they are ready to give any real effort in a match. For all we know, what we saw on social media in the practice gym could have just been a short clip of all the players "practicing" for a photo opp. Like I said, it's encouraging to see them "in action". But I'm not holding my breath for any one of them to contribute in the tourney. Possibly Lougeay, and that's it. Here's hoping for a miraculous off season with huge strides in recovery and strength training!

Something needs to happen there because the number of injuries this team gets is insane...

However, Beaven's serve is pretty weak, so I could see Hambly deep sixing that idea. Or, as you state, just use Lougeay as the serving sub, which might be a good way for her to work back into the lineup. I guess there's the nuclear option also, which is bring the lineup back to where it was pre MIner/Kipp/Lougeay injuries before the Arizona road trip.

She isn’t much of a liability defensively and she is a good attacker from behind the line. She does get inconsistent in patches but I don’t think we’ve seen even close to what Kipp can actually do and that’s a scary thought.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but I also feel like we've all been saying we can't wait to see Kipp at full potential or something to that degree for three years now. Yes, COVID, Plummer's class, etc. are viable reasons why we haven't, but I'm tired of waiting. Sigh.

Hopefully we’ll see her shine in this tournament and into the 2022 season.

But seriously, take a look at her numbers. 3.77kps on .337 hitting %, 1.01 bps, and leading the team in serving. It only gets better in conference play: just about 4kps on .355 hitting % and 1.11 bps. Sure, she may not be at her full potential yet, but I ain't complaining.

She’s got some great numbers this year against good competition
