Yeah, that's precisely what I was going to reply to you. We need MBs pretty soon. Do we know of any MBs who have their sights set on StanfordDunno, personally. I figure Kevin will attempt to convert OHs/RSs to MB for awhile.

With the current roster plus the 2023s that are projected to come to SU, what does the potential lineup look like that season? Naw, I respectfully decline (mostly 'cos the resident "Downers" will come out of the woodwork and try to pounce). Depends upon a fulfillment of Kipp's and Baird's previously expressed desire to return that year, too. I will say that Rubin, Kurt, Kipp, Harvey, Francis, Blyashov and Baird would present a ton of options, and hard choices, for Hambly. One thing is for certain with whatever pins play…that is a whole lot of fire power especially for a young group. Can’t wait to watch them when they are juniors and seniors.

Obvi choices for non-pin positions: L: Oglivie; S: Miner (Belardi as backup); DS: Pringle, Beaven, Armoni (not Lougeay); MB: L Smith, Annabelle Smith, Francis(?) Vicini, Tillman and Tufuga are kinda unknowns and/or not projected to play much. There might be a good chance Belardi ends up at DS...until Kami Miner graduates. Also, I've caught a "buzz" that Harvey might start out as a back row attack option. Though I really like Vicini I list her as "unknown": afa her staying after graduating. sorry remind me again who is coming in on the right after Kipp graduates? is there a possibility Hambly ends up moving Francis to the right? I see Francis as a good fit there but Kurt also has experience as an OPP.

Hell Yeah! Ya, KH obviously cannot recruit anymore; he's over-the-hill/can't coach. To be fair, this class really doesn’t dispel the fact that Hambly can’t recruit - Rubin is the only impact player most likely in this class and she figures to play more if a Meghan McClure role than an All-American player. Of course I’d love to be wrong about Rubin (and also nothing wrong with quality support/role players… every team needs them). For the record, I think Hambly can coach and recruit. Respectfully disagree about the potential for Rubin. Her club team (Sunshine) won back to back national titles in 17s & 18s. And while they had a bunch of great players (including the youngest Keefe daughter), she was pretty clearly their best player. She has been invited to play on national team junior teams. McClure was a really nice role player for us and IMO very under rated. But Rubin has a much bigger upside than McClure ever did.....

Seems too early to tell about that since McClures biggest upside was mental.

Who are the 2024 Middle blockers that Stanford might or could be recruiting ? Thanks Haven't heard of anyone specifically for 2024, but 6'4" Ayden Ames is uncommitted, so maybe there's a chance. Many top teams are pursuing her. In theory the Card have up to three on their current roster who could play MB in 2024, L Smith, A Smith, and Sami Francis. However, there are question marks about all three. A Smith may want to move on to medical school, Francis would have to move back to the middle, and L Smith is unproven due to injuries. For 2025 I'm guessing Stanford is at least looking at Taylor Harvey, the sister of Jordyn Harvey.

I've heard rumblings that Taylor Yu, setter from SG Elite, will be headed to Stanford. Ames would be a great pickup as well, know every college is interested in her.

Why did Ames move from California to Texas?

Why did Ames move from California to Texas? The gold mine ran dry and she heard she could make $35 a week working the oil fields
