Well if they got the order wrong, or it’s cold, or the waiter hadn’t his thumb in it when he put it down then you just GOTTA send it back. If not then…. BOOM! …. soup anarchy. Let’s move on 😁

I think so, different team when she’s in. Might take a couple sets to knock the rust off.

Do other team threads, like Nebraska's or Hawaii's, have their own certified loony bin too? I do miss Tenniscraze though, sometimes. He was a certified Stanford loon but not delusional. This one is a complete package. What happened?

I think the committee will also factor in whether Francis is back or not. Without Francis, I don't think Stanford is a top 4 team. It would be great if Stanford could somehow get Francis back for this week's games.
At this point they are aiming for her to return for the NCAAs. The selection committee won't factor her into the equation as to seeding. Right now, Stanford is #3 in the modified RPI (incl. bonuses). We'll see. Hoping it's Sami time this week!

Can you paste the whole article? We have to sign in to read. Thanks. In the third set Saturday, Stanford’s women’s volleyball team was trying to determine what its identity was going to be the rest of the postseason. Trailing 19-15 against unseeded LSU at Maples Pavilion, the Cardinal — one of four top regional seeds in the NCAA tournament — had slowed after a dominant opening two sets. The night prior they had dropped the third set to Pepperdine before a shaky fourth which they ultimately pulled out. Head coach Kevin Hambly said his team had taken the foot off the gas; they had a choice of what the narrative would be against LSU. “We talked about how tough it is to end another team’s season,” said Stanford sophomore setter Kami Miner. “We know they’re going to be giving it their all, so we have to prevent that from happening. I’m so proud of the way we responded, especially after we were down in that set.” Stanford finished off LSU 25-11, 25-15, 25-21 to advance to the Sweet 16, where the Cardinal will play No. 5 Houston at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Maples. The Cardinal (26-4) missed the postseason for the first time in program history two seasons ago, and bounced back last season to make it to the second round before succumbing to Minnesota. Their quick return to prominence has not been a surprise. “They are just so good at what they do,” said first-year LSU head coach Tonya Johnson. “They do it over and over and over again, and they do it at a very high level. Today was no exception.” The Cardinal enter the Sweet 16 with the seventh-best hitting figure in the country (.295); they hit.384 against the Tigers. Much of that came from senior outside hitter Kendall Kipp, who was an astounding 24-for-33 from the attack. She began Saturday by going 10-for-10 in an opening-set win where the Cardinal had LSU on its heels. “They’re a really talented team that can play the game from all ends of the line,” said Pepperdine head coach Scott Wong. “They serve well, and they attack the ball at a high grade. They consistently hit above.300. It sounds simple, but they do it at such a high level.” It’s what the Cardinal can look like when operating at its best, and Kipp is the force behind it. “It makes my job easy when she is playing like that,” Miner said. “We’ve been working to keep that connection strong and giving her opportunities to score. It was super fun to see how successful she was.” Kipp hasn’t been the only Stanford player to drive the offense. Fellow senior Caitie Baird has directed some long point runs with her serving game and Miner’s setting has allowed the Cardinal to find space. In Houston, the Cardinal will be facing a team that beat young Auburn team in five sets after taking down South Dakota (also in five). Hambly said he hadn’t seen much of the Cougars yet, aside from their match against Oregon State earlier this season. The winner advances to play San Diego and Kentucky, who meet at Maples on Thursday before the Stanford-Houston match. The Cardinal haven’t lost since Sept. 25. Hambly said he didn’t believe the Cardinal would peak this postseason and — for the younger players — moving beyond the second round is uncharted territory. Sweeping LSU was a step in the right direction. “We’ll be ready for a team that is feeling great and has been competing at a high level,” Hambly said. “We’ll see if we get a little bit better.” Marisa Ingemi is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer. Love to read the quotes from the coaches, including the opposing coaches, and players. The writer should have mentioned Rubin and Oglivie as well. They did excellent job!
If she could have asked about the return of Francis too, that'd be perfect! Maybe I expect too much.😅
