Yes. It was a few days ago. She’s been a commit for awhile. Ranked 9 on prep volleyball or prep dig I forget which Ok, I'll take a look at some recent video if I can find it. Last time I looked was over a year ago. I'd say off the top of my head, we need pin hitter depth in 2024, so she definitely fits that need.

Good for her! Well deserved. Too often Caitie gets a bad rap here (as if VTers could play at her level ). I have gained some insight as to reason(s) for her decline in production and yes, she has been battling through something (recurring condition: sorry...HIPAA, y'know). Anyway she's important for SU!

Gubbins will be a great 5th pin for us if it all works out but im not super concerned about that position right now. rubin will have two years experience and the other 3 will have a year of playing against our stacked A team under their belt. ive said it before, but next year reminds me of 2019 with the stud freshman playing against our starters. that competition every day across the net in practice should be much higher next year which is exciting

Funny how Kipp looks super intense while Hambly has a totally blank look.

I like how Stanford’s next opponent is “No. 5 Houston.” The games from the Stanford quarter of the bracket have been predictable snoozers.

assuming Stanford gets past Houston (fingers crossed that they do 🤞🏻), do they have a better chance against Kentucky or San D? Kentucky is more physical and fiery. Tealer is a special talent. San Diego has more height, is more consistent and doesn't commit lots of errors. Remember that the Plummer-led Stanford back then eliminated Blossom and her Penn State squad twice in two regionals hosted by Stanford. This could be a motivation. With that being said, I think Stanford has better chance against Kentucky than San Diego. Stanford will crush Houston.

Congrats Ladies and the coaching staff!!!
First elite 8 appearance since the 2019 National Championships.
Watching Stanford beat Houston gives me so many memories when Maples hosted a couple of regionals back then when Plummer and Co were still playing. I remember sitting in the stands back in 2018 when Stanford finally beat Penn State in the tournament for the 1st time in a long, long time. Plummer did everything she could to avenge all of those losses to Penn State in previous years.
It’s just so nice to be finally back on this stage of the tournament.
Missy Whittemore did the call, IIRC, in those matches too - maybe she is our lucky charm!

In the first set when SU was down I was having LMU flashbacks. The horror.

Did not realize Stanford will have all their Starters back next season. They should be the Preseason #1 team next year.
