cj is an oppo, she would compete with Harvey for that spot if she ended up at stanford, not against rubin and Julia for OH. I think it would still help if we get CJ since we only have Harvey as OPP. Harvey seems more explosive (hitting) but CJ has more shots and better all around play, I think. I think there is 0 chance CJ goes to Stanford. First off if she had the academics to get into Stanford why would she have ever gone to Nebraska. Secondly Stanford doesn’t do transfers in volleyball. The only outlier I can see to give that anything is the 4 years eligibility. Don’t get me wrong , if she doesn’t end up at penn state Stanford is where I’d prefer her to be I just don’t see it.

Correction Stanford WVB hasn’t done transfers. Perhaps VB has stricter requirements than other sports?

She actually is longer and would likely be a better blocker on the right side. The reason why Harvey is slated over there is about passing and floor D. Blyashov is better at these skills, at least that's the common consensus. Harvey's attacking skills on the left are impressive and high flying but not sure if she can "junk it" like Blyashov. Hambly has been training Harvey as a RS so that is seemingly where he wants to go.

Ipar is a stud. I was hesitant to jump on board... when I see foreign recruits.. I think Ivania ... but thats not the case... look at her resume and look and Ivanas. Ipar is a stud. also recognition as a Opposite. Make sense to redshirt her this year when you have Kipp in front of her who wasn't leaving the court. I'm really excited to see her play next season . she's smart and terminal !

I'm sure she is expecting to start at OPP in 2024. If CJ were to come here and Harvey road the bench that would be a disappointment for Harvey. Right now IMO Harvey is Stanford's best recruiter for her younger sister Taylor (2025) who we need more than all the pin hitters available. Stanford admitted a transfer last year being recruited by the softball team. While it's a long shot for admissions to accept a transfer for Olympic sports, it's not impossible the way it was a few years ago. I'm sure Hambly understands the big picture far better than any of us and will make the best possible decisions.

Anyone know if Kiana Greer will be playing 17s or 18s for Surfside this season? I'm planning to attend the SCVA 18s qualifier tournament in early January.

She played at Fenerbahce, which medalled at the Club World Championships and CEV Champions League while she was on their team. She didn't play a role in these tournaments, but nobody in college likely would, even moreso a high school aged player. Plummer is still struggling to have major and consistent impact at that level. Yet, Ipar still was there on the team, playing at this level, which is far far from minors.

IMO Ipar is substantially better than Vanjak. The fact that Hambly redshirted Ipar means he has hopes for her potential in the future.

It's very confusing when you use "we" to refer to Stanford; because in most of your posts, you use "we" to refer to Wisconsin. Ever heard of someone liking two teams? Lmao shhhhh I got dragged for that too, apparently ur not allowed to like more than one team on volleytalk lol

She could get some kills because opposing teams were focused on stopping everyone else. She was a pretty good blocker though.
