Our WBB just lost in the sweet sixteen. It’s tough being a Stanford fan in a this transfer portal era. Something has to change if they want to remain relevant in the sports department

She is! I’m sad she’s not using her extra year, but excited for her future! One more year of Brink+Iriafen would have been fun but she's so ready for WNBA! Can’t most of them make more In NIL? Like I can’t imagine angel reese and Clark would make as much in the WNBA as they are now? Unless I’m vastly underestimating what wnba pays and overestimating their NIL money

Some are just ready for the next phase of their life Didn’t Clark get offered $5 million recently? Iol

Like I can’t imagine angel reese and Clark would make as much in the WNBA as they are now? Unless I’m vastly underestimating what wnba pays and overestimating their NIL money That's just it. A number of athletes make more money from endorsement deals than from their playing salary. Here is a list of WNBA salaries. It looks like the max cap hit is near $250,000 (which is pretty sad compared to what NBA players make...). So yes, NIL deals would top that by far. Especially consider, the average salary for a WNBA player is about $100,000... www.spotrac.com/wnba/rankings/

Presumably if a college athlete's NIL deals are really for NIL (rather than a disguised way for boosters to pay for them to play at a specific school), they'd typically do just as well in endorsement deals after going pro. So NIL shouldn't be a reason to not go pro, though it could be a nice reason not to rush into going pro if you want to stay at the college level longer.

It seems like college hoops is much more popular on the women’s side than wnba no?
