Another week winding down and no 2016 announcements. Someone should start a contest among Stanford fans to predict the date of the first published link for a 2016 commit. My guess is it won't happen next week. I don't think Fitzmorris will be ready to announce next week and I don't think any recruit will announce until all of them are ready. Four names have been bandied around for some time. I hear there might be five in play for the 2016 class. Why is everyone freaking out? Every recruit is different, with different timelines. Just because one class announced in May doesn't mean all recruits here on out have to adhere to the same timeframe. The good thing is the longer a recruit takes to committ, the better it is for Stanford.

The past three years, the announcements have posted on Rich Kern anywhere between April (Hodson,) May and June. Patience is a virtue.

I am also hearing the same thing... that there could be a 5th recruit for this class. If all 5 will commit to Stanford, this will surely be the top recruiting class.

Slightly off topic, the crowd at the Mens final four last night was a total embarassment for mens volleyball. I watched the PSU/Lewis match and I dont think there were 300 people there. Sad.

Not sure what the attendance of a men's match at Stanford (a match in which the host school was not participating) has to do with the future of the women's volleyball program.... I think this is a comment for the men's board.

It's actually surprising how well the US does in international men's competition considering how minor the sport is here.

Is this possibly the result of an extra scholarship becoming available? (Megan McGehee)

Is this possibly the result of an extra scholarship becoming available? (Megan McGehee) I think that one was already coming off the books in 2016. Inky's class is done after this year.

When was Hentz suppose to announce? Didn't someone say this week?

I always thought recruits were asked to wait for a "class" announcement and not to announce autonomously. Could it be that one or more girls have been admitted but haven't committed yet? If there is a fifth recruit that could be holding up an announcement.

Yup. The 2014's for Stanford were listed June 4/5 2013. The 2013's were listed two in July and one in September 2012 on Rich Kern. Last year Hodson was the only one listed, so that's probably why it was earlier.
