Why would Hugh stay with the national team until 2016? Not saying he won't but I don't understand why 2016 and not 2012.

The person I feel for is Scott. He has been told he is still a candidate but the longer this takes the more opportunities he may pass up. Don't you think that if Mike would have endorsed Scott to Joel, Scott would have already been hired?

Don't you think that if Mike would have endorsed Scott to Joel, Scott would have already been hired? Scott has Mike's support. Does that mean that he feels that Scott would be the first candidate he would choose? Not necessarily. However, if Joel came to Mike and asked if he would endorse the hire Mike would. Joel and/or Regina did approach Mike with a name early on and Mike told them he didn't think that individual would be a good fit. So, Mike isn't endorsing everyone.

My point was that Mike hasn't told Joel that he thought Scott is the best choice. If I were Scott I would not be counting on the job.

The statement that the announcement would be made this week...is that a rumor or a fact?

The statement that the announcement would be made this week...is that a rumor or a fact? The poster who posted the item deleted the post. So, who knows. I was led to believe last Friday that nothing was imminent. But the athletic department is keeping things very closely held I don't know if that was true or not.

Has anybody heard if Christy Johnson has had her baby yet? I know she supposedly not in the running anymore, but just checking.

Because they are going to be ridiculously good given the young talent they currently have. Glass, Hodge, Hooker, Harmotto, Foluke etc with 5 years international experience is pretty scary.

Falyn and McClendon will have at MOST 2 years of experience before the 2016 Olympic qualifiers get under way. And there's a long time of development (or lack of development or injury) before we get there. If they choose to try to play for the indoor NT, they could be part of the core for 2020. For 2016 they might be alternates.

Mclendon isnt in the class of athlete as Hodge, Hooker. Also, there were more opportunities/openings for players to step right in than their will be in 3 years when they finish school

Hodge and Hooker haven't had to compete with similar athletes for their spots. McClendon won't have that same luxury.
