Agreed. Karellen seems to be sharing available info. I doubt if anyone in here accepts anything as gospel, but I bet most of us appreciate updates, even if they're sketchy or changeable.

Yeah I don't see Karellen's comments as disrespectful. Maybe if he/she spilled the beans before the official announcement, then I could see that as being disrespectful. Although, saying that there will be an announcement today or whatever and then there not being one, only makes you look like a fool. To his/her credit, I have heard from some sources close to the program today and it sounds like it is now settled.

The MN administration hoped to have all the details worked out yesterday in time for a release by the end of the business day. Instead, they found out it took a little longer and due to the time zone differences, couldn't make their original deadline. So they go with first thing in the morning, which is not only reasonable, but supports them wanting to announce this decision as soon as they feasibly can. Things change, plans change, karellen is hardly a 'fool' for something that's beyond his control. |

I'm not the one saying Karellen is being disrespectful for posting that. I'm just saying that you probably shouldn't say they're going to announce it today unless you're 1000% sure they will. You're just setting yourself up for other posters to call you out...
That being said, I happen to think that Karellen DOES know what he's talking about.

Sounds like today "should" be the day! Laura in as Interm HC, and Hugh to arrive in 2012. Let the games begin! Who does Laura hire (or Hugh) for assistants? Any guess who it will be?

I hope we aren't being played for fools.
And I hope the coaches are out there recruiting a couple of OH transfers for next year. Given all the talk of Love leaving and my understanding that Bohls has a bad knee and might not be playing this year, we are very, very thin at OH again.

Coaching staff decisions have already been made. I do not know if that will be part of official announcement, or if that will be a separate annoucement in a couple of days.
