The conspiracy theorist in me thinks this is all some elaborate hoax by Sheen, and maybe others. Kinda like when Joquain Phoenix got all weird on Letterman that one time.

Well, he is an actor... However, by causing 2 1/2 Men to be cancelled, he is adversly effecting many other members of the show (who don't make $100,000,000+ per year) so it would be a pretty nasty hoax.

Well, the show isn't cancelled yet, just done for the season. This whole thing could be a cleverly concocted "hoax" to continue to generate interest in this sitcom. Typically, sitcoms tell to fall off dramatically in popularity in later years until they are finally cancelled for good. In the past, writers and producers have tried introducing new material in terms of new characters or taken plotlines into way different directions. This could be a way to keep Two and a Half Men fresh. Have Charlie Sheen act a little looney and go into and out of rehab, put the show on hiatus, make its audience crave for more. It comes back in the next season even more popular than ever. Kinda funny that the same qualities that make Sheen's character on the show so funny and appealing are the same qualities he is being criticized for in real life.

he is now on twitter. It's worth joining twitter just for his feed. twitter.com/#!/charliesheen and it is him, no someone pretending to be him. the self pictures prove it.

Yes ex-wife #3 has filed a restraining order on him for threats and such. While Charlie Sheen is messed up if you are wife #3 you know about his track record so there can't be the brightest bulb in that head...oh wait she has dollar signs in her eyes!!!
Either way I think the kids probably deserve to be put somewhere out of reach of both parents

I guess it was rumored John Stamos would replace him on the show. Charlie went off on John Stamos while making yet another appearance on the Piers Morgan show in CNN. John Stamos tweets the next day, "There is a rumor I have been asked to replace Charlie Sheen on 2 1/2 Men. This rumor is not true. I have been asked by Martin Sheen, however, to be his replacement son."

Life imitates art: I wonder if Charlie reminds Martin of Colonel Walter Kurtz (Apocalypse Now).
