What?...da "system" went hele on??? ___ late 80s...5'8", OH, Sistah2Sista: Thia Palakiko-UHH (who even after her torn ACL & rehab was still a fierce player in her own right, was IMO destined to be way better than her sibling) early 90s...5'10", OH, outta da Allen Ohana: Dolores Allen (who just about flattened the ball--every single time--upon contact with such a HEEAVVVY wrist snap)...5'10", OPP, three years @ University: Pele Baker (who has been thee best ever wahine from Hi.) 2000s...5'7.5", OH, from Hilo/Moanalua: Kaleinani Kabalis (who's MIA currently) ___ Dave COULD surprise after sooo many years, BUT I tend not to think so. *Da "system" Kalei left WSU and was ineligible, was going to play for her sister at a D2 school but then last I heard had decided to follow her boyfriend to a school in South Dakota and was going to play. Northern State I believe. She wouldn't be able to play this here but would be able to next year.

What college teams would FF/Hawaii play on a sand team? I am hearing recently that Stanford is pushing back fielding a sand team to spring 2014 at the earliest because there isn’t enough national interest yet (among other reasons). It doesn’t seem like a competitive situation for FF playing on a college sand team next year. Pro, yes; college, no. Wouldn't the question be as when the whole sand volleyball thing will actually take off and there will be a competitive schedule and all that jazz? I don't know anything at all about the whole sand thing but is there and schedule made yet, championships locations decided or anything?

*If* Fonoimoana does play for UH (indoor volleyball that is), how will UH's passing game go? Losing Danielson will be hard to replace.

Croson would probably be the next best for a primary passer but I guess Hawaii will put in a Defensive Specialist for maybe Waber or Fonoimoana. It will probably be like 2010 when it was only Kaaihue and Danielson. But I have high hopes offensively for that team next year!

The Wahine are my second favorite team and have been since 82' and this is great news for Hawaii next year. My only reservations are that if what the people that went to school with her at USC are saying is true about her attitude/issues then I would hope that she doesn't bring that baggage with her to UH because it takes only one individual to destroy team chemistry and it will quickly be apparent in their play.

Chemistry is overrated, I like players who are selfish and want the ball ALL THE TIME... Thats what makes you better and thats what gives a team heart and that killer instinct..something Hawaii has been lacking the last decade.

Maybe you could travel the country and do team building seminars. "selfish players are what gives a team heart"

Have you ever coached female players?

My source says that she is there to play Sand Volleyball....not sure about the indoor thing but you all had better assign 5 tutors to her 24/7 Youre classless. You can put a smiley face after all you like, but its mean spirited towards a KID! You are entitled to your opinion. Do you also give trophys to all of the kids, win or lose. These young ladies are in school to play sports and be students. More specifically they are getting a free college education, at U$C worth at least $60K a year, to play volleyball. This young lady really dropped the ball IMHO and then just walks away. I imagine that there is NO ONE at U$C amused by her antics. Her mother has had the rep of being a 'problem parent' for a long time and now she moves on to Hawaii.....I would be shocked and stunned if UH does not field a Sand Volleyball squad. In fact, it is also rumored that one of our former setters will play at UH, Sand Volleyball, with Falyn next season. FWIW....LBS will field a sand volleyball squad....personally I could give a rats ass about sand volleyball but it is what it is and as far as Falyn is concerned she will now be UH's problem.....good luck holding her hand....maybe she will finally grow up and realize what God gave her and take advantage of some of it, unlike a former play of yours from Louisiana, who certainly never quite figured it out!!

Would you say the same thing if she transfer to LBSU? if this is really true and if Falyn is with the team next year, UH will be hard to beat in BW. Sorry beachman, no chance for your beloved LBSU.

Keystone is not a Hawai'i fan so no need to address your Kim Willoughby comment to him. There are a lot of girls wanting to play beach volleyball for Hawai'i (including current and former Wahine.) I'm not Scott Wong so I don't know who'll be on the team but I think there may be a lot of interest for only a few positions.
