what else can Coach do to this UH team.He makes me so sad to see what he has done to these talented boys. He's stripped them of their pride and burned them out emotionally. He is sooo bringing them down with all these crazy line up changes. He's not showing any faith in their play by yanking them out so much and not allowing them to recover. He's got to let them work through and help to raise their confidence he's stripped them of. THey play well for a few matches then get yanked back to the third court of no return for having a bad day. What happened to positive coaching. What happened to being able to look up to your coach and trust him instead of looking up to him to see if he's gone a little bonkers. These guys can't even ask questions of the coaches. A UH booster was watching practice this week I think she said and said a player was knocked down to the third court for asking a technical questions about his footwork or something. Coach is wasting some really good talent. Yet the boys keep hanging on for each other. Where's Carl Mcgown to rescue the boys. Come on Super Tino, help the boys out! perhaps wilton is back to his marine corps disciplinary ways -- i never liked that style of coaching

Well, UH is clearly not done. CSUN has to win some games. They could be out of playoffs if they are not careful. UH put themselves into a great position... All of you UH fans, counting them out. They are very much back in!

UH will beat Stanford and UCSD easily. Their test will be LBSU... Who knows which team for LBSU will show up? The one that beat UCLA, or the one that lost to UCSD.

Stanford looks easy.
UCSD will be tricky if the Warriors overlook the Tritons.
LBSU will be tricky for the same reasons as others have already mentioned.
The only way Hawaii will be able to plausibly secure a berth in the MPSF's is to sweep UCSD, Stanford, and at least split with LBSU.
A sweep of LBSU will very much gurantee a bid/berth.

Wonder if this weekends complete sweep of CSUN was just a fluke?
Nice to see Cervantes FINALLY starting at Libero!!!

Here's my take: Pepp, UCI, BYU, UCSB are top 4 UCLA at 9-8 will be 12-10 CSUN at 7-8 will be 11-11 Pacific at 8-8 will be 10-12 Hawaii at 5-11 will be 10-12
Long Beach at 6-8 will be 8-14 USC at 5-9 will be 7-15
This scenario is predicted with no further "upsets" in the season, ie teams with a better MPSF record now will beat teams with a lower MPSF record (like THAT is going to happen). The Hawaii vs. Long Beach got complicated because they should be tied by the time they play, so I gave them a split. GOOD LUCK TO ALL......

I agree. That is a very fair assesment. Once again the MPSF is a crap shoot.
And also i agree about Cervantes, we've been waiting for that one for a while again. Player of the match last night as well. i enjoyed watching the boys scrap last night, well worth my money to go see!

With the way Long Beach has been playing to say they are going to go 2-6 for the rest of the season is a big stretch for hawaii fans. With their home wins over UCLA,IPFW,Penn State, and 5 game loss to Irvine and knowing that the fans will definitely show up for the Hawaii series knowing both teams will be playing for their playoff berths its hard to say Hawaii is going to easily split with them. But...with Hawaii's recent success over CSUN its hard to say which team is going to show up in LB. It is definitely a crap shoot either way though... volleyball march madness is so exciting ;D
