I'm rooting for my Wahine even though I know it's an uphill battle because the "last half of the season" version of this USC team is amazing. I think it will be an amazing battle between two POY Candidates who will both be fighting hard for their teams, but it will be up to the supporting casts of both to really make that difference. If our servers are on tonight, we have a chance, if we can receive serve decently, then, we have an even better chance. If either of those phases of our game is off, USC is going to gobble us up. The only definite thing about Friday is that it will be truly magnificent volleyball!!! +1 Also if we can get Mita connecting with Britt, it will make a big difference...

If Kendall, Katie and Alexis play well, I like USC chances to upset the Hawaii How does the #1 in the nation UPSET anyone? I just feel like USC is a huge underdog for this match. I personally think Hawaii is the #1 team in the country for the last few weeks. (Or maybe I am just so heavily influenced by the opinion of Hawaii fans on VT, LOL)

You guys think Shoji will move Hartong to the right and bring Adolpho to the middle for the bigger block on Juipiter? I love Satele's arm on the right side but I think Hawaii needs the bigger block to slow Jupiter. I think if the Wahine bring their passing game and put up some big blocks, then I think Hawaii has a good chance to take down USC.

Hawai'i will come in as the underdog. Few people outside of Hawai'i expect the Wahine to win, even in Hawai'i but I like that. Hawai'i plays much better as an underdog.

When this match is over I predict a lot of sullen expressions on the Wahine fans. Olgard was not playing earlier in the year and since she has returned they have been a different team...this U$C team is very good and my pick to win it all... Kiss of death. Thanks alot Beachman!

I think Hawaii has to hope for a USC off-night because Uiato and Satele will not be able to slow down Jupiter. USC will need production out of Shaw, Fuller, Williams, and Olgard. They will not beat Hawai'i on Jupiter's arm. Jupiter has not been playing really great as of late. If Shaw and Olgard keep playing at their current levels and Jupiter becomes Jupiter again it should go 5. Who wins? I do not know.

Actually beachman just gave hawaii good luck. Whenever he picks us to lose, we win, and vice versa. Thanks beachman...great that we get to play the beach again next season.

Usually a two loss Pac-10/12 team is pretty much a lock to make the FF. But, as we have seen, USC's Pac-12 record has to be called into question due to the apparent weakness of teams like Stanford, UW, Oregon, and Cal. I mean, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Now add in the fact Hawaii gets to eat home cooking, and I conclude Hawaii is the "real" favorite.

Jupiter will get hers. Wahine just can't have Fuller going off again. BTW Fuller's been playing lights out the last few weeks. She's playing by far the best volleyball of her career so far. Whether that translates to a good performance on Friday or not, who knows, but she's certainly in good form going into the match.

If Hawaii's passing is on, then Satele's live/quick arm becomes an asset. If Jupiter goes on a tear, I think Shoji won't hesitate to make an appropriate sub. Otherwise, I expect a lot of timely/situational blocking subs (Goodman for Uiato, and Stauber for Satele/Griffy, whoever is in the backrow at the time), as was used throughout the CSU match.

I have to disagree with you, my friend. Granted the PAC 10 was down this year but USC looks very much like a team ranked number one. USC is the favorite going in, and as a Hawai'i fan, I am good with that.

In big matches like this Satele just needs to settle down a little. She definitely has game, she just needs to relax a bit, have some patience (Like Kanani,) and believe in her abilities.
