My collection in HD is mostly 2007-2009. I also have some stuff off of VHS from 2004-2007.

I saw a match with Misty and McPeak playing together on seal beach once. Wish someone had those matches from her early career. I think it was still the old scoring too, was very awesome.

I might actually have that one. Back in the AVP streaming days (remember Mosiac?) they showed Karch's last win and what they claimed was Misty's first win and it was with Holly. I think it was Seal Beach 2000 but according to BVBinfo it was her 3rd win. I don't know my history but maybe BVA became AVP so it was her first "AVP" win.
I think I saved the match but I'll have to dig it up.

I think I saved the match but I'll have to dig it up. It was just the BVA trying to promote its place in beach volleyball, at the time, by making a big deal about it being her "first" win when it was only her first BVA win. Her first win was USAV a few months prior and her second was the FIVB Grand Slam in Chicago the week before this BVA win. At that time, there was no AVP women's tour until the next season. It's still hard to believe that she was almost a 4-time gold medalist, but she still got 5th and had a good year. She was so young back then and already incredible. Over the years, she proved that she can win regardless of the court size, event location, or rule changes. If Karch is the KING, then Misty is the QUEEN. If you have that event, I would love to see it. I think they were still wearing the old style outfits and visors back then.

Note that Kerri Walsh got her very first beach win at the last BVA event (Oceanside, 2001). Misty May had dumped Holly during the off season. The AVP (re)started their women's tour that year and put the BVA out of business. BVA had their first event of their second season (Clearwater), and then most everyone jumped to the AVP. The BVA turned their Oceanside swansong into an invitational.
Misty and Kerri were reportedly wary of playing on the AVP, since Holly's husband was running it. They didn't play domestically again until 2003.
