Brazil did beat China in China less than a month ago, and it's a good match-up for them. The Olympics are not the same as tournaments like the GP. With their current form, I doubt they will be able to beat China this time. I predict Brazil crumble under pressure tomorrow.

The problem with Brazil starts with the setting position. Not only do they not have a quality setter, but they can't ever decide which mediocre setter to go with. That kind of switching surely has to effect the players. I'm not seeing that at all. Fernanda & Dani are performing adequately, they just don't have the horses to ride that Brazil has had in the past. When you set a hittable ball, create a seam and your hitter still doesn't get a kill there isn't much more you can do. Fernanda & Dani certainly are not losing matches for Brazil. Brazil's just isn't a very good team. Defensively they are terrible. They are blocking less than 2.2 balls per set, and digging is in the bottom group of teams. They can't terminate rallys, and they can't extend them either. Bad combination. I'm just saying the Brazilians I have talked to are quick to blame the setters for the recent performance issues.

At times I think they have been right. But I honestly think that this time though the problem is the reception and passing. Fabi has been terrible so far, so as the OHs.
