China will win a point just by having pushed this match to a 5th. That's a valuable point lost by Brazil...

China will win a point just by having pushed this match to a 5th. That's a valuable point lost by Brazil... Bingo...does this clinch a spot in the quarters for South Korea? Assuming that head to head is the first tiebreak Not yet. But we'll probably know by the end of today. If Korea wins vs Turkey tonight, Korea (and Brazil) will be virtually qualified. Turkey (unlikely to win vs USA in the last pool play match) and Serbia (unlikely to win any match) will be out.

For some reason, I had mistakenly thought that Brazil only had 3 points

Brazil will be out if:
Turkey beat Korea and get 3 points; USA allow Turkey to get 1 point; China and Korea play a 5-set match with Korea winning. ;D
