So, can the US beat the Koreans again? We'll find out Thursday.

Wow. And yet again, no European team to the Final 4!

Can the US stop Kim? No one has so far. I think the US should worry about stopping her team mates. No one can stop Kim she will get hers.

Even though USA defeated Korea in Pool Play, in my mind, it doesn't matter a whole lot now. I think they are different teams now than at the beginning of the tournament. USA without Berg will be a different team. A more confident Korea with wins over Brazil and Italy will also be different. I am looking forward to this match up.

Agree with Marsh.
Korea will be very determined, having lost to USA in the preliminaries. And with wins over Brazil and Italy. This is Korea's best chance of an Olympic Medal...last time they got was 34 years ago in Montreal Games (1976).

I agree with MarsH, as well. Gotta hope the USA gets its stuff together and works out any kinks/cobwebs with Thompson's connections. And the USA block has to assert itself early and often. And backrow defense...
Wow. I'm worried already. lol

I think you guys are trying to justify an exciting semis and finals. As far as I'm concerned, today just delivered the gold to the USA barring a monumental choke job, and that's even if Thompson has to set the rest of the way. Kim is great, but she can play the match of her life and we'd still probably win 3-1.
I wouldn't be surprised if USA swept from here on out. Great day for USA volleyball in many respects.
