The salaries does not reflect what they make. Camp money is a huge chunk of change four the namer coaches. Sent from my MB860 using proboards I hope so, but I think those numbers get exaggerated here. Can't envision that he gets more than 50k from camp. I know folks like to whine about coaches being overpaid, but Jerritts base doesn't seem high for the results he has. I can think of 7 coaches without doing any research that are higher paid. And Texas has the biggest athletic budget in the country. Would've guessed his base was in the 300k range. |

There are some schools which would surprise people with their camp base. I know of a couple not normally associated with traditional powers grossing in the $250k range. They have relatively low expenses for room/board and staffing, so those coaches are sometimes netting around double their base pay. Also have seen small-conference schools with head coaches netting $50k or more. |

Gigantic camp, always sold out. Hey, maybe someone is ripping off their staff and gettin what you claim. It just doesn't seem feasible based on my 10 years in the camp biz. Jerritts rates are 400/session roughly and a 1:8 staff ratio. |

I think it really depends on your expenses. Some places get REALLY cheap room and board. Some make a lot of their profit from multiple team camps (less staffing required with HS coaches there) and satellite camps (ditto, plus no housing cost).
And yes, some places rip off their staff.
