Murphy's signed in Brazil for Minas. She has a fantastic showing in Brazil during the first weekend of WGP. I'm not surprised.

Surprised to see Dani Scott-Arruda still playing. Happily surprised. She is Iron Woman!

New to international play, so I have a couple of questions? Do girls from their home country play for the club teams there or can go else. What is the difference in play for clubs that are CC, CEV? And who does Brazil play? Since everything seems to be in Europe or Russia area? Silly question I know. And how do the girls like playing in their club league?

And who does Brazil play? Since everything seems to be in Europe or Russia area? Silly question I know. And how do the girls like playing in their club league? 1. Most players around the world can transfer to different professional leagues in other countries. There are restrictions, however. Chinese players cannot play in other countries until they retire from the Chinese NT. 2. Each country (that has one) has their own league: Italy, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, China, Japan, Brazil. CEV and Champions League are larger leaugues within all of Europe drawing club teams from Italy, Turkey, Russia, Azer, Poland, etc. to compete, culminating in a play-off round and championship. 3. Brazil has it's own league with several teams that compete among each other, and it's always one of the very best in the world. They don't travel outside of Brazil, but the league itself (superliga, it's called) is fantastic and is played at a very high level. 4. The experience for the players varies widely. Generally the women have a very positive experience, though in the past several years (since the financial crisis) some clubs have run into financial trouble and have had problems paying their players (see Italy as the most prominent example).

Murphy's signed in Brazil for Minas. Any other big names on that roster? Most famous other player is probably Arlene (Brazilian Libero from Athens). Otherwise it's a young team more in the "future stars" category Should be a great opportunity, as she'll definitely get a lot of chances to shine in a strong league.

If it indeed turns out to be true. She denied signing with anyone via Twitter and the Melhor do Volei said that Minas is interested in her services but not yet signed anything. Minas lost their major sponsor, Usiminas, and are working with a much more limited budget than they have when other Americans played there. Hopefully, she does end up signing there as the experience would be beneficial even if the team won't be as competitive as in years past.

Murphy's signed in Brazil for Minas. She has a fantastic showing in Brazil during the first weekend of WGP. I'm not surprised. As she was playing well I was thinking "this is going to turn into a massive jump in pay for her" Good for her. Being on the NT elevates your status instantly, doing well, even more. The level of play will impact her ability to find a roster spot in Rio.

(though I note Destinee denied signing for Krasnodar mere hours before announcing last year) but this would be a really good placement I think. We're late in te transfer season and there's probably a lot of really good money on the table in Asia, but most teams in the overall strong leagues have already found their opposites.

Tamari Miyashiro and Michelle Bartsch will play in Germany for Rote Raben Vilsbiburg. They also signed Dominique Lamb and Jenna Hagglund earlier.

In the Brazilian league, like half the national team played for one club team, and the other half for another. Made for some of the greatest volleyball in the world when they faced off, but not sure about the competition level in other matches. Great crowds.
