What is the worst surface to play on? Quicksand. Really tough to get a good vertical, and you don't get that big sweet bounce when you pound one down inside the 10 foot line. Still not as bad as playing on a bed of alligators.

The reason wood basketball courts have "give" to them is that they aren't actually sitting directly on the cement underneath it. They're sitting on a raised grid of "pads" (not sure what they're actually called). This allows the floor to have some flex and bounce.
Wood looks great, if your school is rich/fortunate enough to have a separate gym for vball where the wood can be permanently painted for vball.
Play vball on a wood court painted for basketball, should be against the rules.

From a current players perspective the worst burns came from sport court. The sport court at big tournaments is also almost always NASTY. Like if you wearing a white jersey and dive once it’s now black

I can’t believe the Final Four/National Championship are played on a sport court...

I love a nice carpet with a deep pile. It's easy on your elbows.

Agreed, from pretty much all aspects. Wood can be VERY slippery if the maintenance isn't perfect.

Are there are universities in the Pac12 or SEC that use teraflex?

Are there are universities in the Pac12 or SEC that use teraflex? I think Colorado uses Teraflex or will be switching to it. My daughter played on the one from the Rio Olympics and said it was the best surface she's played on.

What is the worst surface to play on? One time I played on Lewis university’s track training facility’s floor for a tourney. Idea what surface it was but it was awful and felt like a tennis court
