Anyone familiar with her, club or high school? Aside from assuming she has high potential based on Texas offering, any details on her game?

Who do they have coming in for 2014? Just McCoy and the Croatian girl?

Chiaka Ogbogu congratulated a girl on Twitter for committing to Texas. I think the recruit is Morgan Johnson From Desoto, Texas. She also plays on TAV 16 Black. I think she is also class of 2015.

Micaya, Morgan, and Yaasmeen will be replacing the 2011 class of Eckerman, Bell, and/or Baker (depending if she redshirts this season).
I believe Micaya is projected to be a 6-rotation OH and Morgan a MB. I'm not too sure about Yaasmeen, but since she's from Cali, hopefully she is working to be a 6-rotation OH as well. I was hoping we were in the mix for Haley Hodson, but with Yaasmeen committing, it seems highly unlikely.
As far as I know there are only 2 commits for the 2014 class: Cat McCoy and Mirta Baselovic (from Croatia).

I believe Yaasmeen was a starter for her Marymount team that won the state championship. I watched the Mizuno Long Beach 18s and 17s Open Division teams and don't recall Yaasmeen on either of these teams. She must have played on the 16-1 team which means she played at her age group. I don't know if that was because Mizuno wanted to keep their best players at age level for the best chance to win a championship or they felt she wasn't ready for a 17s team yet. It is really hard to predict where these players will be two years from now.

Interesting to hear that Yasmeen is committed to Texas... here's video of her team playing, she's #27 It's pretty obvious that the opposing team is serving her when she's on the court. Perhaps her passing is sub-par. Not a 6-rotational player. Another athletic player that can't pass....= Elliott's M.O. I guess it's worked for him in the past!

Exciting news for the 2015 Texas Volleyball class. From what I can see from both Micaya and Yaasmeen, they both hit a heavy ball. Definitely lots of room for improvement, but the potential is there.

I think a listing of 6'4' is maybe a bit generous, although she is certainly tall. That Texas is recruiting her is a bit surprising to me. However, she's got two years to hone her game before enrolling in college and by that time might be a completely different player.

I think she fits the Texas mold of being tall, athletic, and hitting a heavy ball. Do you think her play is subpar?
