I would say that they (minus Karsta Lowe) they really lack the terminators they have had on the pins in the past few years. Kelly Reeves has been having a good year offensively, but beyond her and Lowe, the other pins have really been in a carousel of who's playing/replacing the other for not terminating. Just my two cents

Just my two cents I would agree that recruiting has been odd, but maybe more so in not filling the correct holes. Maybe they are putting too much hope on what they already have improving enough to be the impact they believe them to be. Reilly Buechler coming in next year is very much like Reeves. Steady, all-around. I am not sure she is the answer as a terminating OH in the Pac-12. Don't get me wrong, she's an outstanding player and a workhorse-much like Reeves- but not in a Rachel Kidder kind of way. And that's what they need since Klineman and Lawless don't seem to be getting it done.

Just my two cents This is pretty much it, offensively. The outsides other than Lowe can't generate good swings off mediocre sets and the team isn't in system nearly enough to be effective. Their setting should improve once Moenoa is practicing and playing regularly, but the passing needs to get better. Defensively I'd say the block is the culprit. Just seems a step slow so far.

I think people are just spoiled, teams like Texas and Penn St. horde all the top talent and people anticipate non stop top tier teams from certain programs.
Its not the norm to be always one of the top 5 teams unless you got so much talent that your taking away your competition by having them as second string on your own team.
UCLA will be fine and the run they did to win the ring was awesome.

I don't think anyone would complain if they looked to be top 20 and finishing 3-5 in the PAC 12. But they're not. And it's not getting better.

Injuries can drastically change seasons
Not Top 10: because of talent Not Top 20: because of injuries Ucla would have been a #12-15 team this season if healthy
If they can get healthy UCLA will be a dangerous team. Look for them to try a 5-1 at some point

How much more do you need? The players are not getting it done.

I think all the players are more than capable of their positions. It is a matter of chemistry and heart. These players are elite level players despite the record. Let's give them a chance to right the ship and keep fighting on.

This is why it is so important to remain humble after having early success. Words spread when your head swelled and recruits may not want to play for you. Banachowski remained nice and humble despite his success but recruits do not want to play for him for different reasons (please ! It has nothing to do with UCLA not having certain majors) . This is a humbling experience for Sealy. He has a great mind for volleyball but he needs to change whatever he needs to do to recruit as well as USC did. The UCLA name no longer recruit itself

Strehlow has stolen by the Waves and graduation of two big time outsides (kidder and love).
