Everyone knows Bigfan is the Queen of Hyperbole and largesse of the mouth. Just smile and move on. Ladeada and Beachman can make his comment, you have no cred. What do I have to do to be at the same level as La-dead and Beach? I'll do it.

Sorry if this was already brought up, but I find it very odd that both Illinois and UCLA seem to have taken such major steps back after their final in 2011. Probably just further proof of how tough their conferences are, but still. am really surprised at UCLA and their struggles. Great coach, Im sure he is wondering what is going on. Illinois is a fine program.

The problem is Sealy doesn't know how to recruit and motivate his players. I wont be surprised if he is fired to give way for Karch. But before that, Joy will most probably be let go after this disastrous season.

What has happened to Zoe nightingale? I thought she would've been the next star at ucla. Instead she hasn't even been mentioned in this thread.

Bigfan allow me to try again Sealy has only been a head coach 3 years and has won a championship. So he has won a championship .333% of his years as a head coach. 33.3%. You just stated he's won one championship in his last 300 years as head coach.

To win at the highest levels you have to really grind as a staff and program, not sure that is their M.O.

Probably just further proof of how tough their conferences are, but still. It's mostly a player thing IMO. Illinois had an all star cast in Ward, Bartsch that year and UCLA had a stellar year out of Kidder plus Van Orden, Love. Neither team has yet to fully respond to their losses in players

Neither team has yet to fully respond to their losses in players Illinois' situation probably wouldn't look so dire if they had a softer pre-season schedule. They'd probably be 20 win, early exit tourney teams. Hambly also looks to have some recruiting momentum, which is something UCLA doesn't seem to right now.

I think the loss of Meg Norton was a huge hit to UCLA. While not a big terminating outside, her passing would have taken a lot of pressure off of the libero. With better passing and ball control, UCLA could be feeding their middles and RSs more and limiting reliance on a leftside attack.
