Actually, i think that Lewis will win in three against IPFW but then lose to Loyola in 5 close games the next day. And i just looked up the stats from the Lewis-IPFW games, and it looks like Ptak only had a total of 3 blocks between both matches. While he may have had two impressive solo's, that was pretty much it. What makes you think that this game will be different than the other two times they have played and Lewis has won in three? I'll have a great time watching Lewis beat IPFW in three, and I actually expect them to be close games, not blowouts, so its not like i give the IPFW team no credit at all. Ptak is a great player, i just don't think that he has a good enough supporting cast to beat Lewis who has so many weapons.

okay, I think the game between Lewis and IPFW is up in the air. It all depends on what teams show up...if it is the IPFW team that destroyed Ball State a couple of weeks ago, Lewis Watch out!!! But if it is the IFPW team that showed up against Lewis previously this year...than the game will be over in 3 quick games. Personally I think IPFW is going to show up ready to play...cuz everything is on the line now.... Lewis is also going to be a bit cocky....
So go Dons!!!

This group of very talented players from Lewis hs been cruisin for the past week. Playing very well, calm and confident. One would think that this would continue leading and going through he MIVA Championships. I am not so sure. Lewis is not and has never proven to be a pressure team. They are used to winning fast and easy and have not been in enough tight games this year to build that "reaching deep down in the big game experience"
They are the better team and should win against IPFW. But IPFW will let every thing fly and I question that LEWIS has the heart and stomach to handle this.
Lewis is not a clutch team and has proven that in the past two MIVA playoffs the past two years. Not that IPFW is but I think the will to win from IPFW will overpower the Fear of failure by LEWIS.
With that being said they only hope that Lewis has is to beat IPFW quick and never let them out of the gate.
Very interested to see this game.

Good points about Lewis. As good as their teams have been, they haven't made it into the MIVA finals the last four years. But with that being said, they may be due to finally pull it together for this one. I am fairly confident of this ... they won't see the same IPFW team that they saw the other two times this year. IPFW will come ready to play.
Funny thing about vollyball (sports), the best team doesn't always win. You can't take anything for granted.
I'm looking forward to watching this match too.

Loyola beats Ball state in 4, Lewis beats IPFW in 3, in a game where Ptak gets a yellow card for complaining about a call and pulling down the net. He is a great player, but in crunch time, he got blocked on a few backrow attacks and nobody else stepped up to lead IPFW to victory. The libero for IPFW is quite possibly the worst libero i've ever seen at such a high level of volleyball. I don't know if it was just an off night, but he really did not play well. I mean no disrespect to a player who is obviously better than I am, I'm just saying that he didn't play well. It was a great day of games at Lewis.
