Can we put a moratorium on "blind-item" transfer announcements? If you're gonna say it, say it... but these just lead to tons of needless/awkward speculation. Why? In both cases the schools, players and coaches know and furthermore it is on facebook. That's cool. Then why are you blind-iteming it? Odd way to approach things.

Regarding incoming Miami (FL) transfers Taylor Scott (Miss St) and Kalysta White (MN) - Miami Needs a LIBERO now and while I know that has no bearing, the Miami presser lists these two as members of the 2014 incoming class (Which is true) but makes no mention of whether they have to sit out or not? The only reason I would even wonder IF they might have a waver for either of these two is precedent in 2012 when both current Miami star Savanah Leaf (transfer from San Jose State after starring there - leading the team in scoring - as a freshman) NEVER had to sit out nor did Miami Soccer Goalie Emily Lillard who also transferred after being All Freshman in the SEC as a starter at Arkansas and she started every game as a freshman at Arkansas, so I guess I am hoping whatever made those two immediately eligible might somehow work to make one of these two immediately available. Leaf was the most recent transfer in Volleyball has had (a bunch transferred out who clash with Keno), there have been a number of soccer transfers both in and out but Lillard was the last one to get a waver which is why I mention those two. Does anybody know whether each or both indeed have to sit out this upcoming season? Volleyball players get one free transfer so if this is the first transfer for these players they are eligible automatically to play right away

Not true. They need to be released. There is no "free transfer." Although I doubt this applies to walk-ons.

Regarding Lillard - there was a coaching change that year at Arkansas in soccer, a circumstance which allows athletes to be released and immediately eligible at their next school. No idea about the San Jose St player/situation.

If anyone knows of any DI OH/OPP transfers still looking to play in DI, please message me directly. I know of a school that still has a full scholarship available.

Welcome to the PSU family Skylar. I've been one of your fans since high school and so glad you can play for the Lions. You deserve to let your light shine brightly.

Monica Stauber is not on the 2014 UCLA roster, and her jersey number now belongs to SJSU transfer setter Michaela Leonard. Stauber transferred from Hawaii last year as a junior. Is she done?

Not sure if this has been posted yet: Chelsey Keoho from CU to Oregon per Instagram. Even with a release she has to sit out a year correct?

Not sure if this has been posted yet: Chelsey Keoho from CU to Oregon per Instagram. Even with a release she has to sit out a year correct? My understanding is that, with a release, a volleyball player can play immediately as long as this is her first transfer. I had previously called this "one free transfer" and got jumped on for the wording so I am attempting to be more explicit this time. I was wondering if Keoho would move on. She played a lot as Libero her freshman year but lost that position last season to Sierra Simpson. I don't think she ever got into a game last season. In fact I wondered if she had some sort of injury or other problem that kept her from playing.
