OK, let's all admit it. Everyone who is into volleyball and is not from Texas or Pennsylvania, is rooting for a UW/UW title match. Fess up. No, I want Texas/PSU in the finals.

To get back to the original post, the flight from Pennsylvania to Seattle is farther than the flight from Madison to Seattle. Do you know what you need for a longer direct flight? A larger plane with more fuel capacity. I've twice been on chartered flights that have stopped to refuel. Planes about the size of Wisconsin's going from the Midwest to the west coast. No clue if that's common or not, but it happens.

My first asst job in college volleyball our team was flying to SLO for the Volleyball Monthly tournament. I was 23 yrs old, played mens college volleyball and rode in vans. One of our players started complaining because we wouldn't let them skycap their luggage, and they had to wait in line. I literally wanted to punch her! These kids have it TOO good. Chartered flights, catered meals........ We sat in a van for 7 hrs with 8 other people, ate at Ponderosa, and had an absolute blast. These kids are in country clubs. I played men's club ball at Michigan State, had the time of my life even though we were "roughing it" comparatively. Riding with 14 dudes for 10 hours in a van to Iowa was cozy to say the least, not to mention sleeping 5 to a room everywhere we traveled. Wouldn't trade it for anything though, it was like family.

I visit many different chat rooms but I'll tell ya' what...This one has the biggest bunch of idiots I have ever seen. This guy starts this post as a clear fun joke and now look what it has grown into. Charter/no charter/gas...WHO CARES! This is suppose to be intelligent conversation about VOLLEYBALL people but I can easily see that is not possible...Not that you care but have a good life people. I'm headed elsewhere... I hope you get a nice charter to elsewhere.

I just got out of my time machine, after a quick visit to late Saturday night. I took a photo:
