Unless Tanner's foot is fully healed it is likely that Beals will indeed be running a 5-1. It will be her opportunity to shine, but by the end of the year I think the Husky's will be back in a 6-2. Based on her numerous skills,Strickland needs to be able to hit and defend during a match. Giving her the libero jersey simply takes away too many options.

I think most of these questions are going to be answered by how well the newcomers find roles to fit into, not by what the veteran players bring back from last year.

My thought was that Tanner could set backrow if her mobility isn't significantly restricted, even if her jumping is restricted. That could lead to: OH: Vansant, Scambray (Schwan) MB: Sybeldon, Wade (Jones) OPP: DeHoog, Nelson (Jones) L: Strickland (Condie) S: Beals, Tanner (Finau)

Is Schwann actually on scholarship or did she walk on? Sounds crazy but...

Courtney will be on scholarship. She signed her NLI.

Wouldn't that be Jmac's call? I think as a general rule we all need to start or end more statements with "IMO".

Wade has been a two-year starter, while Sybeldon is a one-year starter. That doesn't mean that Jones won't possibly start, but first-year MBs often struggle with JMac's blocking schemes. Bianca Rowland didn't start her freshman year. She can also play both inside and outside - she could fill the utility role that Gabby Parker filled. Her future, once Vansant and Nelson graduate, could be on the outside.

I have a feeling that Jones will be on the right side. Just a gut feeling.
