people talk about thompson like she's been above average or something. she had a nice ncaa run this year. that's it. Show me the evidence of the extensive conversations about Thompson...my example was simply a Minnesota kid going to Wisconsin. And a funny example with her dad with deep Gopher roots. I don't think there have been many conversations about her outside of the fact that she "had a nice NCAA run."

And Morehead but not NDSU? Must the river making it warm, right? Shouldn't that be a tie for first?

I didn't read the fine details, but I'd like to know why Macalester is colder than the other Twin Cities colleges, like Hamline, St. Thomas, Augsburg, etc. Something to do with wind breaks no doubt.

You think it's cold in Minnesota? It only hit 70 here today - I'm worried my orchids might wilt.

What the hell … where is Bemidji State? And what about North Dakota (in Grand Forks) and Univ. of Minnesota Crookston and Univ. of Minnesota Duluth. That article is totally bogus!

No, seriously. We have an orchid and it wilted. There's a pill for that.

For our orchid? I don't think so.
Wait. I thought it wasn't a metaphor? How's this "we" work?

Fairbanks weather is much like the Twin Cities; it gets a good bit warmer than Anchorage's in the Summer. Bemidji is much colder this week than Fairbanks.
I'm not sure how much weather plays a role getting the kind of recruits the final four programs get; I bet it has to do with the Schools's commitments to having winning programs in all sports, and an Alumni committed to helping making their players' lives comfortable.
