Great match by USA but this reminds me Cuba 2010 in WorldChamp, they reached the final vs. Brazil who smashed them 3-0. At that time Cuba team was: Simon, Leon, Leal, Hernandez...they smashed all the teams in road to the final, but in the end they showed lack of experience. I think the same happened today with Iran, which gives an additinal merit to USA victory.
Today was a perfect match, but my vote goes to Sander, he didn´t screw up on passing and in attack he was simply superb: 80% efficiency with 17 spikes!!! Also Lee and Holt, with amazing fast spikes, serving and blocking. One word to Shoji, again extraordinary on passing.
Tomorrow USA will need these guys on shape, and i truly hope that Anderson can assume his responsabilities in this team, somehow he seems a bit nervous. Against Brazil odds are not so rosy, they are playing very good in all aspects, especially on passing, which allows
Bruninho setting fast. If USA doesn´t screw up on passing and can serve aggressively like today (with not many mistakes) this might be a way to have some chances vs. Brazil.
