Two Top ACC Schools make it to the SWEET SIXTEEN... Congrats to FSU and UNC !! Both showed strong plays in their Sub Regional..
Miami played tough in that first set vs. Florida in round 2... was really hoping they could have pulled out that win.. Duke struggled vs. Hawaii in Round 1.. IMO was a tough draw for a round 1
We want the ACC to go far in the NCAA... Pulling for UNC and FSU in their regionals
FSU vs. BYU is an interesting match up.. I don't believe they have ever played this team..will be a test at the net for sure but I am predicting FSU moves to the Elite 8 and takes it 3-1
UNC vs. Oregon will also be an interesting match up..I predict UNC takes it 3-1

Congrats to UNC for getting to the Elite 8 and to FSU for pushing hard in the Sweet 16 vs. BYU. It still stings that FSU up 24-21 in that 4th set couldn't pull it out and push to the 5th set. It will take me some time to get over that one..
Overall, the ACC had a strong year and is gaining more respect nationally as a conference. That is the overall goal..
ACC had 4 teams in NCAA.. one team got knocked out in round 1 (Duke) one made to round of 32 (Miami) one to Sweet 16 (FSU) and one to Elite 8 (UNC)
Looking forward to 2015...it can't come soon enough !

I agree, though to be completely objective, only 2 of the 4 held their seed and no team exceeded their seed. Obviously BYU got undervalued by the committee though if you looked at their regular season, not seeding them made sense. Hawaii was an awfully tough first round match for Duke, especially in Seattle. UNC was up 24-22 in the 4th last night, so yeah, it's not a good feeling to let those get away.
Oddly, FSU beat 3 teams in the final 8 during the regular season, it just happened that they got knocked out of their own match to make the final 8.
