When was the last time Nebraska was great? I guess I would be interested to know how you are defining great? If I am guessing right, when was the last time Stanford was?

So blue blood, great...what's your definition? If you think it's national championships, that's a small group of approximately 10 teams, several of whom haven't been relevant since the 80s or 90s (LB state, pacific) I'd put UCLA in that group but for 2011. Curious what your definition is.

Curious what your definition is. It's probably not worth debating. Simplistically defined, I would say multiple national titles and no consecutive season finishes outside the top 10 since the last national title would be a good start. There are probably other considerations like total final fours, total top 10 finishes, time spent at #1. I'm not sure why Wisconsin fans would be upset by the perception or demanding of respect. If you keep winning, and win a national title specifically, it'll come. It's like Oregon football fans worrying about respect. They've been very good for awhile, but not winning the national title will always leave doubt. They, like Wisconsin VB in this case, shouldn't worry about it but expect the doubt to remain until they reach the top and sustain success in perpetuity. By the way, this is my explanation for why others may criticize or "disrespect" Wisconsin, personally, I don't. I think they're a very good program and I'm not concerned with what they have and haven't done. Except maybe in that other poster's case who questioned Nebraska's reputation as though they're historically (both recent and past) equivalent.

Not many picked Nebraska in the poll. Minus Robinson would be my reason.

Show of hands, who is disappointed in...
Wisconsin? Washington? Penn State? Anybody? Bueller?
How about USC? Purdue?
(like the old deoderent commercial) raise your hand if you're sure!
Clearly, the collectively offseason prediction skills of the board are subject to question.

I think the answer is clear now it is Purdue. Where the wheels fell off is unclear but USC played aruably the toughest schedule and finished being tourney eligible, with their second biggest offensive option coming back from injury all year. Purdue had all the pieces things just didn't happen right for them, they are the biggest flop for sure.

At least the poll's creator was prescient enough to provide all of us with the opportunity to make the correct selections.

Okay, those of you who voted for Wisconsin, 'fess up. You disappointed? Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.. The Biggest Flop will come from who exits first in the NCAA's. i'm seeing a lot of upsets in this tournament. But obviously Wisconsin, Penn st, Stanford, and UW look to be four i'd be least concerned of an upset.

But obviously Wisconsin, Penn st, Stanford, and UW look to be four i'd be least concerned of an upset. I'm not counting anything. I'm just curious about those who thought Wisconsin would be a flop. I'm pretty certain that their definition of "flop" would not be "Won the B1G championship outright, but upset early in the tournament." I'm pretty certain those folks were expecting Wisconsin to be 4th or 5th in conference. And, of course, I sincerely hope we are not upset and make it back to the national championship.

Seriously? A B1G champion will be considered the biggest flop if they exit the NCAA championship first?
Some of these teams may not even make it to the NCAAs, so by definition, I guess they had a great year if they don't, cuz they can't exit what they don't get into.
