Well it looks like it going to be a loooooooooong season for Nebraska if they don't learn how to serve better. FSU was in system all night long cuz' of Nebraska's lollipop serving. I'm not impressed with Pollmiller. I guess I have to many memories of Lauren Cook's setting.

Kadie and Amber pretty much stunk it up.
Alicia was great. Some others were pretty good.
Lots of work to do to get ready for the B1G.

And Stanford on Sunday. Can't say they're playing cupcakes.

(snip) I'm not impressed with Pollmiller. I guess I have to many memories of Lauren Cook's setting. Lauren was awesome. I loved those running backsets across the entire court that were spot on. I don't see that from Pollmiller.

Yes, they just aren't going to beat a good opponent (FSU is) if those two aren't playing at a high level. Remember they lost to Auburn last year out of the gate. Shocking to see them lose the serve pass/battle vs FSU.

Shouldve started off with Portland St! This was a pretty tough match to start. Yeah, FSU has talent, and I also think as a program they believe they can beat opponents of that level, which is half the battle sometimes. Nebraska had a million chances to win, erred their way out of the match. Not that managing errors isn't always huge, but early in the season even more so.

Hunter should be setting. Mary isn't horrible, but based on everything from last year, and descriptions from this game, hunter is clearly the best setter. Hunter has AA potential whereas Mary is lucky to make b1g HM

I don't see that from Pollmiller. There are differences in very good, and great setters. As I said, her play wasn't the issue. Serve/Pass, poor play by key players.

Shouldve started off with Portland St! This was a pretty tough match to start. It was a pretty tough match to start with for FSU as well as being on the road... Yet they played much better, seemed ready to go...
