I don't think Washington will move ahead of psu just because it's being based in washingtons win against badgers who penn state plays wed. No need for the move now

No need for the move now Wonder how much of that kind of thinking (There will be a more decisive game soon) kept folks from moving Washington relative to Wisconsin recently.

I believe it's same scenario when Stanford swept Nebraska at home and psu hadn't played anyone yet but had Stanford that next week. It's another case of things will sort themselves out following week. No reason to move them now

Yes, next weeks' games will sort things out. So will the week after. And the week after that. Fact is, this, in theory, should be a vote on what's happened so far. Who has won. Who they beat and who they've played. YOu can wait and see what happens. Or you can have a poll based on wins and losses and quality of opposition.

I don't think Washington will move ahead of psu just because it's being based in washingtons win against badgers who penn state plays wed. No need for the move now I believe this is each person's poll, not a prediction of the where this weeks poll will end. For me - my baseline is where I had these teams to start the week. I already had Washington ahead of Penn State - and after this week I still have them ahead of Penn State. We all have our own POV.

I could only put them in that position if they had a super impressive weekend on road against badger and gophers this week. I don't think just winning would do it for me it would be how they won. Not quite ready to put them ahead of Stanford yet. Yes that head to head was close and could have gone either way. We could even argue if it was on a neutral court psu prob wins. As of now though if still put Stanford at best. Texas is right there but seeing some of their matches Stanford seems to have it more together then them.

Wonder how much of that kind of thinking (There will be a more decisive game soon) kept folks from moving Washington relative to Wisconsin recently. I believe it's same scenario when Stanford swept Nebraska at home and psu hadn't played anyone yet but had Stanford that next week. It's another case of things will sort themselves out following week. No reason to move them now Except that Stanford actually did move up after that week, ahead of Texas. I'm not arguing that Washington should jump Texas or PSU, frankly I don't care if they do or not, I'm just pointing out that in week 1 when Texas didn't play anyone and Stanford beat Nebraska and Iowa State, they did jump Texas in the polls. Now, for this weeks poll, Texas played a tough weekend so no real reason for anyone to jump them, but maybe Texas bumps above PSU and perhaps the voters will bump UW too? Like I said, I don't care if they do, but you are arguing a "scenario" that isn't applicable here. After week 1, Stanford didn't jump PSU to #1, but they did jump Texas to get to #2. Sure Stanford and PSU were playing each other the next weekend, but what does that have to do with anything? Is Washington going to be playing Texas or PSU next weekend? I don't think that the immediate future schedule has any impact on where teams are ranked.

This is harder than it looks. Around 9 things really get gummy. Still results oriented, so this is based more on what you've done than will do, although Penn State should be lower than they are under that analysis.
1. Stanford 2. Florida St. 3. Texas 4. Penn St. 5. Washington 6. Wisconsin 7. Oregon 8. North Carolina 9. Loyola Marymount 10. Colorado St. 11. Texas A&M 12. UCLA 13. Illinois 14. Florida 15. USC 16. Kentucky 17. Arizona St. 18. BYU 19. Marquette 20. Purdue 21. Nebraska 22. Hawaii 23. Louisville 24. Oregon State 25. Iowa State
Nebraskas signature win is over Creighton, and the San Diego/LSU wins for Purdue aren't looking as good lately. Both should move up with conference wins. Minnesota has a strong tradition and a win over Iowa St., but 8 wins over 100+ Pablo teams right now. Oregon State and Northwestern have nearly equal credentials, so I put Oregon State in because how long has it been since they were Top 25? Won't last long, but wouldn't for Northwestern, either. Iowa State is in as a second Big 12 team, which conference is close to best winning %, but nobody besides Texas has signature wins (Oklahoma is CSUNorthridge, Kansas Creighton, K State Michigan + 9 over 100 Pablo wins) I suppose Kansas has as much to warrant consideration as Nebraska, though also 9 over 100, but we can wait until the Big 12 teams start separating from each other.
