I was at the BYU-Pepperdine game last night and couldn't believe the constant complaining by the BYU team, including their coach and Paal pouting on the sideline after being taken out of the game. Have they been like this all season ? Why don't the refs get fed up ?
Go Penn State - - - hope you leave BYU complaining about the final score !

Yes, they've been this way all year. Saw them play @ Stanford early in the season and couldn't believe a team could: a) send 5 players to the ref's stand on a regular basis b) do it ALL NIGHT LONG...FOR TWO STRAIGHT NIGHTS! and c) have their coach spend as much time on the court as the floor wipers.

i noticed this too when they were playing at pepperdine two weeks ago, a lot of complaints about slippery courts and calls going the other way, i dunno, i guess its working for 'em.

I have never seen them on the road, but yes they do complain. I wouldn't say they complain as much as any team I have seen, though. That honor would be a toss up between CSUN and Hawaii. They complained on every play. Hawaii really surpsrized me, but I guess it shouldn't have.

To a point it can be considered a strategy, after that, it just appears ridiculously childish. Especially from a team that can win on its merits alone.

espically a team with mormon faith...is that what the book of mormon teach...I mean come on...show a little class because you are representing not only byu but the mormon side of it as well...

Anyone who has attended a BYU football game or a basketball or volleyball game in Provo knows that the Mormon deal is just hoax. You can write and read all the rules you want but, in fact, there is absolutely nothing Mormon about the BYU Athletic Department or BYU fans.
Or the Provo off-campus party atmosphere, I might add. Praise the Lord and bitch at the referee.

not only has it been this way all season, but BYU has a history of being just plain rude. there's certainly nothing holy about it....

Now look who's bitching and moaning.
Your team didn't make it to the Final Four, deal with it and stop pointing out little stupid details!
GO BYU!

I agree...there's only two kinds of people in this world that I hate.
#1 People that hate other teams just because they are in the final four.
#2 BYU, Pepperdine, Lewis, and PSU and all their fans

My team did make it to the NCAA's and I don't think BYU's constant whining is a "stupid detail".
It completely takes away from the enjoyment the game, not to mention my respect for the BYU program. Earlier in the season I watched a Pepperdine player take strong offense at a call made by a ref and I watched Marv have the player appologize. That player may forget the score of the match, but he'll never forget Marv's lesson in sportsmanship.
Here's hoping Penn State leaves BYU complaining about the final score on Thursday.
